I was thinking the same thing. I'm glad you pointed that out from an interview...I woulda never caught it, I don't think. But hey, it is interesting that the next song is "3:36" because most of LP's songs end at a certain second for a reason. Everything is particular. Kinda like when song ends on 4:20 or plays through 4:20. When Mike and Chester perform on Hip Hop never rocked like this, you hear a guy taking a bong rip or blunt rip at 4:20 and cough! haha...."ahhhhh yea" So it's interesting to see this son ends at 3:36 because other songs from HT and Meteora end like 3:33, 3:35,3:34,3:38.....It's minutes to midnight LITERALLY..... The doomsday clock has always been an integral part of LP.
I have a feeling this will be the Imagine Dragons inspired track on the album. Whether or not that is a good thing, only time will tell.
Nothing was confirmed but a track by them appeared on their spotify playlist "linkin park is listening to"
From this track title... man I have no idea what it could be. And that's the exciting part about this album, this is generally uncharted territories for LP and Heavy was just so out there for them, I have no clue what sounds I'm gonna hear, and how the vocals are gonna sound, if Mike will rap or not, and if he does how it will sound. Questions like these are what really got me hooked.
I think @Brady was talking about the vibe & the unusual style of the vocals in "Heavy", and not about its structure & short length.
LPLive user Justin noticed that the band followed Chance the Rapper on Instagram a day or two ago. They also follow him on Twitter (I'm not sure how this one works, but his account appears to be the last one they followed). Do you think it means anything? Or is it a coincidence that it happened at roughly the same time iTunes announced Battle Symphony's length?
Twitter does show it in order of last followed. I wonder if it has to do with the album because I would LOVE a Chance feature But I have doubts that is the case If I know anything from sports trades and such though is that something is probably going down between the two. Did Chance follow LP back?
Yeah I did expect it to sound like that. We knew beforehand they were making a pop album and had plenty of snippets to go by. The chorus sounds like most LP chorus too.
I've just found this on Reddit. EDIT: I've found the source, but I think i'm not allowed to post it here.
Russian people have been posting this since the track length got released and as of now there's no source actually confirming this. I know some Russians who are involved with some fan sites / pages that have access to a WMG website that has information that isn't public, usually album details and release information for retail, so the information could be from that "source". Of course they would never outright say that they use that site but they have been doing it for this album cycle so far so who knows. It's either from that or it's bullshit. Guess we'll find out next week.
Well the same Russian download site lists all of One More Light as R&B so I wouldn't take the genre seriously. The date could be real though. They could have found a way to see internal iTunes release dates and that's why it's been put up.
