One band that's really overrated is Nirvana. The only member that really knew his instrument was Dave Grohl, and if it wasn't for Kurt Cobain dying I doubt most people would see them in the same light. Still, they were good. And yes, James Blunt sucks. He's good looking and he was with the SAS in Bosnia, so what?
Krist Novoselic wasn't THAT bad. [/b][/quote] Okay, I'll rephrase what I said in my last post. Dave was the only member talented enough to warrant any of the hype they get now. He was (and still is) a great drummer.
System Of A Down: I admit, the singer is good, but his voice still sounds obnoxious. The guitars are very mediocre, the bass only seems to exist in some songs, and I guess the drummer is alright. I hate their chord progressions and their general sound just bothers me. All the weird guitar tunings are kind of irretating after awhile. It's almost lazy to a point. Pearl Jam: Musically, they are awesome. I'd love them of Eddie Vedder wasn't a part of it. I can't get past his voice. He over-does stuff and it just sounds like shit. It's a huge disappointment because other than that they're a great band. I just can't get past the vocals.
Nirvana. I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone, I'm sorry that Kurt died and all that jazz but people have to be honest here, they sucked. As a previous post said, Dave Grohl was the only one with talent really. Come on be honest.. they completely sucked. 3 inches of blood. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH i could shoot myself before listening to them.Totally annoying.. all they "sing" about is orcs and goblins and fucking wizards!! AAAAAH!!! well, its alright until the guy with the high pitched voiced starts shrieking his head off. Really annoying, not cool, completely pointless.
