What do you guys think will happen with all those rejected songs? And what style do you think they are? Do you think they used all the ballads in MTM, or do you think that's all they wrote? I personally hope they release some of the B-Sides. There's gotta be more heavy songs in the style of Given Up and No More Sorrow in those 90+ songs.
I would love if they had some QWERTY like songs too that they actually finished. And if they had some heavier songs that had lyrics as good as their softer stuff I'd be very pleased.
I sure hope they release a few more heavier songs like NMS or Given Up. Those ballads on the album sound great IMO, but I wouldn't mind hearing a few more songs like One Step Closer or Faint.
I wasn't surprised to hear that none of the songs on M2M sound nothing like OSC since that's Chester's least favorite song. Still would be nice to hear some mosh worthy songs, though.
id actually like to see a Reanimation..but for Meteora, and i bet the songs will make it to LPU Cd's or exsclusive tracks somewhere
yeah what're all their concerts gonna be like with all these soft songs. LP fans softly humming in unison?
They'll still play old songs. Most likely they'll pick the heavier songs from HT and Meteora to give the crowd mosh time.
I would imagine they'll probably have periods of heavy stuff followed by sessions where they do piano-ified stuff, like Breaking the Habit and Pushing Me Away, followed by more heavy stuff, and then back to the ballads. The ebb and flow of a concert, especially now that they are getting to the point where they have a pretty deep catalogue.
The pessimist in me wants to say that we'll most likely never see ANY b-sides from this album, just as happened with Meteora, just because of the boderline paranoid-like obsession with security from Warner Bros. over the album. I have a feeling that anything that wasn't used was completely erased from any hard drive it touched, and the tape reels destroyed. But of course, I hope I'm wrong.
When a band says that they have like, 100 songs or whatever, they probably mean they have 100 ideas or riffs. Not complete songs. It can be hard enough to write 10 songs, nevermind 100 !
Qwerty is a pretty good song and I saw on Wiki that it is going to be a b-side. I hope No Roads Left is good, I alrady pre-ordered on iTunes.
Something can't eventually "become" a b-side, it's a b-side from the moment it is left off an album. Qwerty is a b-side available on the LPU 6.0 cd. Nothing more or less will come of it.
I think we'll see b-sides this time. And there'd have to be some heavy stuff they left out 'cos it didn't fit in, so hopefully we'll hear those.
