I knew it was 8 or 9... haha!

I'm really exaggerating how bad it was. UIG was just a letdown for me and it felt like a huge step back. LT wasn't great to me and I was really hoping the band would come back strong with this album and then they dropped that crap on me and I was just like man... Either I'm getting older and don't like this music anymore, or LP is dropping the ball.

    edit:

    @blake

questioning my future of listening to this band was probably a better way of phrasing my disdain. Kudos.

Honestly, Wastelands and UIG had me questioning their future too. As stupid as that sounds.

I knew I wasn't the only one. Those songs just weren't clicking with me. I know my taste in music isn't the end all - be all of Linkin Park's career... but man.

I appreciated it because of how they recreated a H.I.M vibe, one of my favourite bands.

    - Wastelands though, listened to it twice, will never listen again.

Ah Alright. I thought thats what you might meant but I wasnt sure. Thanks for clarifying

I was pointing out the wording. It would question your future of listening to them. There is a difference.

You can hate the songs, go for it.

  8. Wastelands is pretty decent. But it's time to let that song structure go.

The audio quality on the youtube video is bad. I downloaded the russian iTunes version somewhere on the internet and it sounds WAY better!
EDIT: The iTunes version doesn't have that volume change at 0:04

sorry to get everyone off topic- Rebellion has me looking up again. Solid effort by the band. It's the first release besides GATS that actually made me want to listen more than once.

  11. Yeah :/ I'm still pissed that i gave my 'Rebellion'-virginity to that quality

I think this was already addressed earlier in the thread. I think it was about the bass boost or something but yeah I hear it.

Why should LP be the specific band to let that structure 'go', yet over 90% of artists out there have used it and will still do it in the future?

I don't understand why this classic song structure is such a sin for LP.

Yeah, it's the YouTube version which has some problems in it according to Adam.

Pretty much this. This structure isnt leaving any time soon. Plus the songs LP make in this structure are usually very catchy. To me, that is a good thing.

  20. Because it's predictable and boring? We already have 10 Faints.
