Its good , but i prefer The Hunting Party. Sorry Guys.
First impressions: lyrics=
Those were all freely available through Project Spark.
To my understanding there doesn't seem to be the intention of releasing the soundtrack officially. And also the music just might not be under WB. I don't know.
You cra cra if you think these lyrics suck.
I wonder how this got out. And if this means that the rest of the tracks will be released elsewhere soon.
What's wrong with the lyrics?
Honestly, I don't really have much of a thought on it. It starts, stops, and goes absolutely nowhere in between. It's boring.
It's not mind blowing, but it's of the essence that makes LP so enjoyable, because it's something else extremely different FOR THEM. Sure, we had In Between, but I think this is miles better than that song.
Seriously, these guys are covering all ground on the map, and I love it. I love their "essence", and I love the way they spread it over every genre they touch. Want something heavy to get your ass motivated in the morning? Go listen to The Hunting Party. Want something super low-key and mellow? Listen to this. Want something really poppy and easy to move to? Listen to A Light That Never Comes.
I mean, good God. There's something for everyone to like when it comes to LP.
Yeeeah I guess so but from a musical standpoint is still has a pretty rigid and easy to follow structure. A- 4 bars, B - 16 bars. Repeat. Then C - 16 bars, A - 8 bars. They bring in some instruments and beats at odd points within the bar but it feels just as rigid as anything else they've done to me. I love the mood, which is nice and dreamy but I found this slightly enjoyable (mainly the guitar in Part C) but mostly boring as hell. It's a few loops brought in and out.
And that is the foundation of my love/hate relationship with this band. I love them because they make all sorts of music in genres that I love and I hate them because I know it's just too much to ask for them to do all of the things I love in one cohesive album haha. There aren't many bands that can genre hop so well and in doing that, they're bound to disappoint someone when they release a song. THP fanatics sneer at this stuff and ATS loyalists cream themselves lol.
I do love that I can listen to the Hunting Party but go in the opposite direction and go back to a song like Burning in the Skies.
...I like where this is going.
Just a slight adjustment in the fourth line. And I feel like I'm hearing "watch as I disappears" in the third line, which isn't grammatically correct, and I know I'm hearing an "s" at the end of "disappear" so I'll just leave it as you have it.
And I just love the lyrics on this song.
See, the lyrics are what I dislike about it. I can't connect or feel anything when I listen to them. But hey, other people enjoy them so that's good!
Imo the lyrics give the impression that he is about to die...clever I guess
Mortality, futility... I dig the lyrics.
Still really love this song. Probably one of my favorite vocal performances from Mike.
