Not sure another German text is less irritating

Hopefully we won't get another song before album release. Less than two weeks to go, must ... stay ... strong to ignore the snippets we most likely will get in the upcoming days.

 

Ree told you in English and I did it in German... Just to make sure that you really notice. Sure, it isn't less irritating, but it had at least a reason: making you guys finally stop

 

I just hope that some songs have actual screaming it, like lines screamed, multiple words, not just the end of choruses.

 

Completely agree. I'm really enjoying Wastelands. At first when I heard the first verse I was kinda on the fence for this song, but by the end (especially because of the final chorus) I was enjoying the hell out of the song. The song itself seems simple but at the same time is kinda complex.

 

I feel like Wastelands and UIG needed more creative choruses -- then they would have been quite great tracks.

 

Hahahah, what else were you expecting from Linkin Park? They can't write a decent chorus if it meant saving their lives. With that said, The Hunting Party so far has been their weakest effort as far as lyrics ago, imo. They definitely stepped up with the instruments, but they fell back with the lyrics. At least for the UIG and the choruses for GATS and Wastelands, Mike and Rakim's verses are pretty good though. I'm still holding out on the one track with lyrics that actually have depth and substance, and not some tough guy Mike or in your face Chester. Tough guy Mike is pretty fun though, Chester however has been annoying on this album so far to me.

Also agreed! Elaine said this in the shoutbox, and I agreed. It does feel like what Meteora should have been. Sounds like the familiar LP but also an evolution in their sound. Its that nice mix. And I agree, seems simple but feels complex at the same time. Its a banger too. A song I wouldnt mind playing on repeat.

Im sure most of the songs with screaming will KTTK and War both have screaming of full linesthat I know of. Im sure some of the others do too!

Come on son. Linkin Park's songs have always been about the catchy choruses.

 

So this song is right before UIG on the album, but the ending percussion on one of the 3:15 versions out there sound like a different tempo before it goes into UIG. When it comes out on Spotify I'm sure it will have that ending like UIG did so then we can see if they blend together.

 

On the version I have, the song goes into Until It's Gone perfectly.

 

Someone on Facebook called the verses of Wastelands "identical" to Hands Held High.

 

If by "identical" he/she means "are rap verses" then yes they are.
