The only thing I used to find cool about Atreyu was the fact that their drummer sang lead vocals. ...I still find that to be the only cool thing about Atreyu.
I just listened to it (first listen) and it was pretty good, although i don't listen to that sorta music much, i might buy the album. I find becoming the bull incredibly catchy.
Falling Down is my favorite song off the album......and its catchier haha\ the opening drums for SOME reason.......remind me of a football game
Falling Down is awesome, I fell in love with that one Old school Atreyu isn't really my thing so yeah, this album is yum for me
it streaming on there myspace for anyone interested http://www.myspace.com/atreyurock Ive just listened to the whole album, and i must say its pretty much nothing like anything they have done before. It will take me afew listens to decide wether its crap or actually good. Right now i thinks its a pretty good record with some cool/catchy metal riffs. Definitely worth a listen.
i think the songs are good and written good for a Hard rock Band.....this album to me doesnt even feel Metal, which i like their Hard rock status BTW...but i think the Fuss is just over how MUCH they changed and the old fans are pissed lol..well not all, i liked some of their older stuff but this new album i love
I think a lot of hardcore/metal fans need to accept that bands are liable to try something different.
Example: Slipknot. I know some people out there were weirded out when they heard "Bother" as well as Vol. 3: TSV...but as of now, it took time but alot of people (including me) think that it's their finest work yet.
i think i have to give it a couple more listens before i can make a final judgment. some tracks i really enjoy, and others are w/e for me. it is somewhat of a departure from previous albums, while retaining some elements of old.
