I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for p2p. I was downloading dragonball z videos and i got a music video for dbz with in the end playing. And from then on I loved LP. After I saw who it was by I searched for more LP. I burned about 7 or 8 songs by LP and then slowly drifted away. I still loved LP i just didnt listen to it as much. Then I heard about a lp song called Faint so I decided to search for it. I loved it. Then I heard about the new cd so I went and bought it. Now I owned meteora. Then I went out and bought Hybrid Theory and Reanimation, and yesterday frat party. So all in all. It hurts somethings but also helps some things.
About 10 minutes ago i was listening to my local radio station and it said on its news broadcast that in america they were targetting 250 people for downloading and sharing music files they are going to sue them for $150000 a song. THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS.
those people being sued have probably never had $150,000. at one time or after a years worth of income.
those people being sued have probably never had $150,000. at one time or after a years worth of income.
but thats per song ...
Even if they do sue for that amount it doesn't matter. Its all scare tactics. They are sueing for that much so that they can say that they are so they scare all the little downloaders out there to the point that they'll stop downloading. Let me ask a question... How are they going to get $150,000 a song out of the average teenager? They won't. Its impossible, so they will settle for something much less and it will all go away.. (/rant).
This is a huge discussion. Everyone is talking about it because it's so interesting. At school... the internet... . Ever heard of pilet? It's another one. Like napster/kazaa. its p2p music only sharing
not really as the song is called download it ... therefor we should support the song in its campaign for downloading music
you were talking about pop music, which was way off topic. Shade: Maybe they saw that around 19 million copies of Hybrid Theory were on the net and took away the 14 million bought in the US? I don't have one cd I've bought which isn't on my computer, so that makes sense.
piolet is good, its got more search results than kazaa, its faster, but it kept crashing for me and making my screen go blue =(
