Could this guy possibly kiss anymore of the band's ass than he just did here? I can't wait until his review for the next LP album. Next he'll be calling Mike a rap god and Brad the best guitarist of all time and space.
Yeah, that was an interesting "review" alright. I knew from the start that this would be quite special, coming from my boy Rick. While I appreciate his diverse vocabulary, could he be any more vague? Also, as others have pointed out, why did he not talk about Mark the Graves at all? Either he completely forgot about that track or was in such a rush to do this review that he didn't have time. The "review" did seem a bit rushed to me, though.
WHERE is the mention of "avant-garde metal jigsaw riffs" or whatever? Why does this review not include that? The first one.
What Filip says is true. I remember a ludicrously Over-The-Top review for Stone Sour's The House of Gold and Bones, Part 1. Though a good album, the exaggerations they use are fucking ridiculous.
I've never really seen a negative review from them. They gave Device's self titled debut album 5/5, and that album was okay IMO. They called that album "...one of the year's best records" too. So you decide. Also, this just adds up to the connection between Device and The Hunting Party , it's starting to get scary. IIRC, someone already pointed this out: Edit - I Called the album horrible. My mistake. I'm sleepy haha. It's not horrible, it does have some pretty enjoyable songs. But the album as a whole is mediocre.
I think it's just Rick Florino. Every album he hears is his favorite of all time. Dude's counting, give it a break.
It is, according to this guy on twitter - https://mobile.twitter.com/iancamfield/status/472412417105096705
