Actually not neccessarily, they're going slow as hell. It's also hard because sometimes when I look for an album they don't have it listed. I thought it was easier at first but it just seems to be more confusing lol. The idea of it is nice though, but I'll keep trying at it.
www.bearshare.com its great for single songs, or like 2 or 3-4 songs, but a whole album? no. it's pretty fast too, you can see its upload rate, and number of times its been downloaded, and more times its downloaded, the faster you download AND its spyware free(so far, i havent gotten any from it) its "safe" and easy to use.
For all we know, she might want this for non-copyrighted purposes. Such as the latest Branden's Band album, or a Britney Spears live bootleg.
I know this is necroposting, but I actually have something interesting to say and want this thread to stay alive. I've gotten bit torrent to work by adjusting the port forwarding on my router's settings. Does this make my network and/or system more vulnerable?
i dont know, limewire is pretty good. go to download.com and read some of the editor reviewws of the p2p programs as they are pretty detailed and show both the up and downs of the programs.
I answered that question in my torrent guide topic. Go take a look. Oh and just a note, even though most of you don't realise it. You should forward ports even with P2P programs, if you want optimal speeds.
try using Morpheus its the best ive ever used and ive used kazza, ares, winmx(which got shut down) morpheus has a ultra version which u pay for a little and the free regular version i have both ultra at my dads house and regular here at my moms house so check morpheus out its good
I'm too lazy to make a new thread so I'm just gonna ask this here (and I often get negative response when I make a thread). What is the problem? I used Limewire for like a month and suddenly it stopped working. It didn't connect to the internet and the internet became slower when I opened Limewire. I tried to uninstall and install it (about eight times) but it still didn't work. After that I have tried with Kazaa (which gave me only viruses), WinMX, dc++, eMule, torrent, but it was the same with all those programs. They didn't connect to the internet. I even opened my firewall but it didn't help. U know what the problem is?
My guess is that your ISP is throttling you, or something to that effect. Like completely blocking p2p traffic. The reason your internet slows down when you open a p2p program is because it's hogging your bandwidth.
I was going to say me but.... i just use Torrents, cause i'm still tryiong to find that song from THPS3
