OK, more one topic that change your real purpose to talk about the (bad) lyrics form Meteora... Nothing against the posts (I also see the bad lyrics from Meteora, and everyone has the rights to post what want) but this all time tires a little...
Still much more art then powerchords. And the bad lyrics of Meteora is make me cry and and laugh at the same time.
Then I guess the whole Punk/Metal genre is not art either, since both rely a lot on them. Fine. Anyway I happen to like the sound of powerchords, as you happen to like robots/crickets sounds. It would be very friendly of you if you stopped to shit on what I like every damn 2 posts. Furthermore, for no reason but to be provocative. Thanks.
Yep. Because you've been being sarcastic over Meteora for a good amount of times, and it's getting annoying. People know you don't like it. It would be cool if you got over that.
CALM DOWN GUYS! Anyway, back on topic.... Personally i think the demo cuts on the last 4 LPU CD's definitely derive from the the original "Sophomore" album: "Unfortunate" and "Halo" especially give off that feel of experimentation more than "Broken Foot" does (thought it could be argued "Sound-track" and "Program" could have originated at that point? I dunno about Pepper & ominous. I need to re-listen...). Sure they still had those "Powerchords" but I doubt that album was going to completely throw them out so soon after HT, it was still their second album after all... Plus Listen to Halo. It probably has one of the best uses of Powerchords in the whole of the Meteora era. Such a powerful and massive sound they help bring to the atmospheric electronics.
