Yeah, I only know some Linkin Park stuff. I got a Epiphone special model with the death metal distortion pedal. I might be taking lessons in the spring so hopefully i will learn more songs.
I got an acoustic for Christmas and I can play tabs that don't hit more than one string at a time. Sucky I know, but I don't have anyone to teach me or anything. Here are some things I can play The background in Breaking the Habit The opening of Adam's Song The opening of the live version of High Voltage Smoke on the Water The opening of The Click The opening of Crawling and I have them all memorized (amazing, I know ) I'd like to learn how to play good, but I'm more into singing anyway.
Not bad, not bad. You could probably put it out for sale, you'd make some huge money right there. Although, you'd really want to keep some of those. Any info/pictures/sample recordings of the MS-1/1B?
I'll take some pics of each one when I get my digital cam installed, but I can describe them a bit for you... The MS-1 has 2 single coil pickups, the bridge one angled like on a Strat. 3-way toggle switch, 1 volume, 1 tone. The neck is from a standard Strat so it only has 21 frets, and the headstock closely resembles a Jackson. It's also a 7/8 size body, so it's really small, light and easy to jump around with. It's painted black, but the paint has powderized bronze in it so it glimmers under light. The MS-1B is sorta modeled after a Fender Jazz bass, it has that body and headstock shape. Again, single volume/tone, 2 big single coil pickups on it with a 2-way toggle for each pickup. It also has a big metal covering on the bridge. This one is just natural wood with a black pickguard. As far as selling stuff, I have a lot of gadgets I could sell (especially the effects now that I have my GT-8), but a lot of them have broken stuff on them or don't work very well. Lots of repair work to do... As far as other stuff, I want a 5 string bass and possibly one more guitar, a wireless system, and a good microphone/vocal PA system.
Holy. Fucking. Shit. tasta, you are fucking spoiled. eBay half that stuff and you'll have a small fortune. And how long have you been playing? Guess I'll list my gear, too. Guitars: Squier Affinity Strat Epiphone Les Paul Special Hohner Acoustic (Can't find the model on it) Amps: Crate MX10 practice amp Behringer GMX210 combo Effects: Ibanez SC-10 Chorus Dunlop Original Crybaby Wah Digitech Grunge (Favorite piece of gear) Danelectro EQ Danelectro FAB Metal Distortion I'm planning on getting a new guitar soon. So far I like the Jackson DKMGT and Ibanez SZ520QM. Any recommendations for around $350-$400?
Haha, I know it seems spoiled but just remember over half that stuff belonged to either my dad or uncle originally. As far as guitars...Ibanez is a safe brand to go with, just try before you buy if possible, because some of the Ibanez models with Floyd Rose tremolos on them are a real pain to get in tune and keep in tune. Another suggestion would be Schecter, all their guitars retail for $1000 or less and they make high-quality instruments.
I've tryed out some Schecters like the Omen and Damien 6 and Scorpion, and I just don't really like the feel. I like Ibanez because they make guitars that are really easy to play and affordable. I'm really picky about stuff like action and tone, and Ibanez and Jackson are the only brands that totally satisfy my tastes so far. As for Floyd Rose, to hell with them. It's a bitch to tune those things, and they always detune somehow.
i been playing guitar for just over a year and started learning simple rythm songs, but got bored after a while, and so now am learning lead. im in 2 bands, one as rythm and one as lead/backing vocals. tis fun, but yeh, you guys are lucky with your gear, ive just got a cheap AXL player delucxe (a strat shape), in translucent red so the wood shows through. i got some pedals as well, there all behringer, distotion/overdrive, acoustic simulator and a distortion moddeller (although i asked for a blues overdrive and got this). anyway, i like the look of an arctic white fender telecaster, just gotta save up now...
