Another Single

They've gotta milk the album. If they aren't releasing singles, that means they "need" to be working seriously on new material. The media world is relentless, and they have plenty of songs on Meteora worthy of being singles.

 

Thank God you say that. Ever since Somewhere I Belong was released I was trying to get that across to people. Does no one read the interviews and articles? :argh:

In the end Warner Brothers cares about their "clients", and they know the guys know what's best. All of the media world isn't heartless, but apparently most is. Warner Brothers has stuck by Linkin Park's side, and vis versa.

BTH is one of my fav songs, and it's NOT pop. i'm glad it won't become a single cuz' of Mike's personal reasons. Figure.09 will make a great video, though lyric wise, i think Easier To Run would be great. but if it's Don't Stay, then it's kool, i have a kool idea for it.

 

I want "Figure.09" to be the next single not "Don't Stay" but if it does become a single I'm sure that it might be a cool vid.

In Tulsa they don't.. but Joplin's radio stations play everything.

And how do you know? Do you work at WARNER? If Warner knew that Breaking The Habit would sell more than any single they've ever put out, you know they would release it. If you ask me, I don't think LP has ever picked their singles. I find it funny how I never actually saw a post at the LPMB or anywhere else with someone requesting Numb to be a single.

I think that's why they knew to release Faint as a single because it was getting so much airplay once Meteora was released.

It's soft and slow, therefor I think people would be kind of mad considering that only one hard, faster-paced song was released.
At the same time, I hope Don't Stay isn't a single. They need to put out a single that will show their skills as song writters rather than what's catchy or hard. That basically leaves Figure.09.

 

Hm, you sort of just contradicted yourself. You said that "Easier to Run" would make people mad because it's soft and slow and then said that they should release a single that will show their skills as writers rather than something catchy or hard. "Easier to Run", in my opinion, is a very well-written song. And, again, in my opinion, is better written than "Figure .09".

According to Mike the record people chose Numb because of the response on Summer Sanatarium. Linkin Park didn't.

 

You guys complain about how LP is going to release 5 singles off Meteora, but how about the 4 singles off Reanimation, which was just a remix album. Including the the instrumental Kyur4 Th Ich. There is also of course, the single that most people know PTS.OF.ATHRTY., Frgt/10 and Wth>You. Four singles off their project Reanimation so why not 5 off their CD Meteora?
