I'm not saying it doesn't happen because it does but bare in mind that video was made by peta so its trying to persuade everyone to stop eating meat and wearing animal pructs and stuff. They aren't going to show the majority of animals that don't have a terrible life before they are slaughtered are they? Would you all be reacting as much if it had shown that not all animals bred for meat are treat like that video shows?
actually that industry gets 50% of their money off of leather, therefore, if people didnt buy so much leather, they would barely be in business. im not going to preach or anything, but im just saying my opinion. people grow up eating meat, thats what theyre taught to do. obviously people can live without meat, otherwise vegetarianism would be impossible. so its pretty much people being selfish and deciding taste is more important than a living thing's life. i think its digusting how they sell whole freakin chickens in the market for $2 at the end of the day. theyre basically saying that those chickens' lives were only worth 2 bucks, spices and all. and of course, when they go rotten, theyre just thrown away and theyre lives were wasted completely. again, just my two cents. [/b][/quote] yeah, you're right to a certian extent. but humans are ment to eat meat. all this stuff about veggitarianism being the "healthy alternative" is a bunch of bs. to survive we have to get the essential amino acids out of meat. the only other way to get them is through suplements. for ppl to be and stay healthy, they need a balenced diet of both meat and veggitables/grains. just look at our teeth, they are designed for both. and meat is a luxury. many ppl live and die based on whether they get meat or not.
actually, humans werent necessarily "meant" to eat meat. there are a lot of scientific explinations. for example: - our digestive systems are like herbivores, not carnivores - we cant eat raw meat because our teeth arent built for that - gorillas, for example, have the largest cainines out of all the primates and have a vegetarian diet - the first "humans" ate seeds thats all i can remember at the moment, im kind of tired. oh, and you can easily get your amino acids with vegetarian products but really, im not trying to convert anyone or anything, because god knows people would freak out about that. i still remember the last vegetarian thread, i didnt get involved in it because everyone was attacking the non-meat eaters for trying to tell people eating animals isnt right.
they kill it that way because if they kill them first, and then take of the skin , the fur will fall out, It's fucking insane.
There is no way I'm gonna sit there and watch all that clip. As soon as they brought out the dog and started prodding it I got out. The skinners deserve the same treatment as that poor racoon. How could anyone do that?
I couldn't watch it. My heart was pounding really hard when I clicked on it. I just saw the racoon’s face and closed it. I’ve seen something about this on the (late) news last year. Absolutely SICK. I don’t think it is right to torture the animals just for fashion (and other things like medicine and also keeping wild animals as pets when you don’t know what you’re doing). Is it really necessary? Why not put that money into a worthwhile cause? And what’s with those teenage boys that tortured a kitten? The news showed surveillance footage and I got really mad. It happened in Sydney and Shepparton I think. The boys were stoning it, riding over it with their skateboards and then throwing the kitten onto the railway tracks.
Skinning animals alive is disgusting and inhumane, and i can't see the difference in killing them first
