This works surprisingly well other than the bridge, where there's a bit of weird empty space. I agree this is an improvement on Figure.09 by leagues.
Halfway Right remix I made during the lockdown, I was proud of this one. I own FL Studio but got a 90 day free trial of Ableton and made this in that while learning it and realised I much prefer the workflow and UI of Ableton but am still using FL because Ableton is too expensive lol
I like the way you arranged the vox in that initial chorus section so it grows more intense. The outro is nice as well
This channel doesn't exactly do remixes but they technically are remixes.... They listen to the instrumental, look at the lyrics, then guess how it was done and sing their own version of it.
Just throwing it out there... how about a LPA remix project on From Zero, in the vein of Reliving Things and Viscera? Not necessarily on a short-term (I guess we'd have to wait for some stems?) but I think it would be really nice considering how much the community formed back for this cycle. If there IS enough people who can and wants to take part, of course. I'd be more than happy to!
The chorus of Figure.09 is personally one of my least favorite parts of any Linkin Park song, only beaten out by the bridge of Figure.09.
I can't even make arguments against that, I'll just accept that our opinions are different and move on lol. Figure.09 is probably a top 5 LP song for me, at the very least top 10.
So I'm gonna do a low-key MMU-type thing where I pick songs and give you guys a couple of weeks to deliver cool reworks. This won't be a competition but something much more casual, and probably won't be every month. I'm thinking about starting the first one in the next couple of days, please sound off if you'd like to participate and/or tell me if this month is way too hectic for you and you'd prefer it was held off
Thanks, guys! In the spirit of thoroughness, I'll just ping everyone who interacted: @Elaine, @Serious Dave, @Qwerty19, @РΛТ, @Wasabi GOD, @The Emptiness Machine. If you interacted but never intended on participating, you can just ignore all of this. If you're interested in participating and you're seeing this late, you can still just jump in and take part. Alright, now, I'm getting it started. We're going to do it just within this thread for now, until I come up with a name for a dedicated thread For flexibility's sake, you get to choose between two songs: "By Myself" and "More The Victim". This means no mash-ups. Find resources on your own. I'd really like new ideas, so try and start fresh within the timeframe. Do this on your own. Basically don't sample anything except the song you choose to take on - you can make minimal use of other LP songs if you really feel compelled, but just keep it focused Upload your final track wherever you want - finals only, no WIPs. Post (or PM me with) your track title + link, and whatever else you would like to add. You've got until December 15 - basically just try to be done by Sunday in your local time. I know this isn't as much time as some of you might be used to, but it's December. That should cover everything. Feel free to ask any questions pertaining to the above.
