    I'm the same way.

I'm mostly a metalhead, but I love me some rap sometimes. Give me some Dr Dre, NWA, Eazy E, Canibus, Nas, etc, and I'm a happy boy. :p

    Well there you go^^^ B)

I find that a lot of rap fans just enjoy Linkin park music but they dont go around MSG boards like to LPA, LPMB and start posting about how they like linkin park music but linkin park is the only thing remotely close to rock music they have heard.....i just think they couldnt be bothered lol. I was a rap fan and i heard linkin park for the first time and i started buying their music and i thought it was pretty good. I can remember when i saw the LPMB i just couldnt be bothered to even sign up...it eventually took me around 2 years to do so. ;)

I think thats why people get the notion about how linkin park have lots of rock fans and not as much rap fans.

    me 2..

and i also think linkin park is more rock than rap.. listen to don't stay and numb.. there isn't much rap in that. and you can always hear guitar.. except in cure for the itch and session. but there isn't rap or singing in that either..

i also don't think mike is the best rapper, but i do think he is one of the best musicians.. i mean, he does production, plays guitar, plays keyboard, he sings.. i know there are more of them, but i dont know them.. so he is the best i know. and about him rapping, i just heard him on points of authority/99 problems/one step closer.. and he is very very good.. i mean, just look at him.. i was like: so he could do more than h e showed us this far..

He barely shows us anything on the C.Ds. (Except Hybrid Theory EP which I can't buy :( )
Listen to Dedicated, Carousel, It's goin down, Step up then you'll see more of the rapping.

Mike hardly uses any of hes rapping skills i feel as an MC for Linkin Park. I always thought that he hides a lot when it comes to rapping. It's sad because if he does some day decide to let everything out with hes rapping he would make the rest of linkin park seem mediocre and he'd make fools out of the rest of the guys in LP.

The reason he's rapping is awesome on songs like Its Going Down, Rock & Roll, Fuse and all other Xero songs is because its not by linkin park. Its by some other artist that he was featured in or long before they were known as Linkin park.

I can see why he's doing so many collabs.
