Uh, Huffington Post and Daily Kos don't count as sources lol.

If this group of Muslims wanted to build bridges and promote positive relations, they would never even consider putting this megamosque two blocks from the site of where 3000 innocent American civilians were killed by terrorists in the name of Islam. We hear all this constant whining about the Right being "insensitive"... This is beyond insensitive, it's meant to provoke and claim victory.

That's all teabaggers can do. Throw around insults and "isms". That's it. I have yet to see one teabagger form a factual, intelligent point in a debate. Other than calling Obama a socialist, marxist, Kenyan, Muslim or the n-word, they've got nothing. Nevermind the fact that unless you make over $250,000 (which I doubt anyone here does) that your taxes will be cut, or the fact that it was Bush and the republicans in Congress who ran up the deficit with two wars and the bank bailout, and gave tax cuts to the rich at the expense of the middle class, the teabaggers don't care about the facts. It's just "Marxist this" and "Muslim that" when they hold up their stupid signs at their teabagging parties.

And I'm sure you don't mind me calling you people teabaggers. After all, if you're going to call it the Democrat Party because "it's demeaning and it irritates them" then I'm sure you don't mind if I do the same for that reason.

The "Ground Zero Mosque" is neither at Ground Zero or a mosque. It's a community center. You know, like the JCCA or the YMCA. I'm sure you've heard of them, especially the YMCA. There was a song written about it. The J in JCCA stands for Jewish, and the C in YMCA stands for Christian. So this is the same thing, but for Muslims. It's not a mosque. Oh, and by the way, there are already actual mosques near ground zero. They've been there for years.

I'm not a Republican. I'm a diehard Constitutional Conservative. Bush was not a good Conservative at all. He spent like a democrat.

I don't particularly like Sarah Palin, but I'd vote for her in a heartbeat if she ran against the high chancellor.

How can a Conservative do ANYTHING to bring the country down, as you suggested some of them are? The Conservative message is to PROTECT the Republic as it is, and as it was founded... The Left's message is to transform it into a pseudo-Marxist, authoritarian, big government state. By definition, the Leftist agenda is anti-American.

Al Gore is one of the most disgusting people on the Left, I'm glad he wasn't President. And to be honest, I'm glad McCain lost in 2008... we didn't need another phony conservative like him... The Obama election is exposing liberalism for what it is--- STATISM... People said that Conservatism was dead just 18 months ago, and at this point I'm not sure it's ever been stronger. People are taking a renewed interest in the Constitution, in the founding fathers, and the Democrat party has probably lost the moderate swing vote for at least a decade.

Replace. Restore. Repeal. Starts in November and we will fight this with all we've got until January 20, 2013... This new brand of Conservatives is very promising, much more so than the Bush-era morons.... Rubio, Angle, Rand Paul, and a handful of others are the future of this movement... Bachmann is gem as well... These are true fiscal consevatives, limited government conservatives... If they put up a half-decent Conservative in 2012 it will be a landslide victory for the GOP... Hell even in California we've got Fiorina leading in some of the polls over that nutjob Barbara Boxer... Massachusetts elected a Republican to the Senate for the first time in decades... This country is souring towards the Libs VERY fast.

Oh and one more point... Compare a Reagan speech to an Obama speech... in fact compare a speech from ANY conservative to an Obama speech... Reagan constantly talked UP America, talked UP freedom, he seemed to really revere the people.... Every Obama speech is bashing this country, whining about what's wrong with our system, apologizing for our past and talking about what he wants to change... You EVER heard this clown talk up the heart of this country? NEVER. He hates this country as it was and still is (sort of is), he is elected to an office that is meant for someone who wants to PROTECT the Republic, not transform it.

Don't worry, in 2013 he can go back to the south side of my hometown, Chicago, and go back to being a community organizer, whatever the hell that means

You can call us whatever you want. Pretty soon it will be Speaker Boehner and two years from then we will restore the Presidency. This little "Hope and Change" experiment is over. REAL Hope and REAL Change is coming, and the nutjobs on the Left aren't gonna like it. In fact, I hope Palin wins just so Chris Matthews puts himself out of his misery. I'd love to be watching MSLSD's broadcast that election night (I'd be the only one watching too lol)

And those "Obama Tax Cuts" are another lie. EVERYONE'S TAXES go up one second after midnight, New Year's Day when the Bush Tax Cuts expire. The 250,000 number is a lie, if you have a small business that brings in more than that then you don't qualify. And if they add a VAT tax, then everybody's taxes are going up. And if the enviro-facists get their way and we have a Carbon tax, uh then our taxes go up... The social engineers on the Left want to control every aspect of our lives, and tax/regulate everything, and it's just sickening. Want a nanny state government? Go live in Europe. That's what theyre about over there. That is NOT America, leave my country alone.

In the 50's, if you associated with as many Communists and radical nutjobs Leftists as Barack Hussein Obama has and still does, you'd be under FBI surveillance... I love how Leftists always say Conservatives want to revert back to the old ways... WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT??? We need to STICK to our American values, stand up for liberty, and REJECT this statist, authoritarian shift the Left is bringing to America.

    Just that guy.

Listen saoberlinwaves, we're all for free speech here on LPA and support a healthy debate every once and a while, but you are completely bat shit crazy. When you learn that the Cold War is over, and climb out of that bomb shelter of yours please let me know.

Till then, I'm out of this thread. I'm done debating with someone who refuses to research the facts and instead spouts bullshit based on personal feelings. If you'd remove your aluminum foil hat for just a second, you'd see that Sarah Palin is nothing more than a media whoring, psychopathic, attention seeking bitch who would do/say anything the Republican party tells her to do, and is incapable of thinking for herself. Hell, she aligned herself alongside those crackpots in the tea-party until it damaged her "public image" and she separated herself from them to save face. Not only that she has her own TV show now, and is basically obsessed with the limelight. She claims to be full of family values, and a "model American" and yet she can't even prevent her daughter from spreading her legs and getting pregnant out of wedlock.

She's a virus, and I hate John McCain daily for unleashing such a low-IQ pile of trash on this world. I think even McCain regrets the monster he's created.

Like I said earlier: Woman president? Yes. Sarah Palin? FUCK. NO.

I think as a politician she's pathetic but it couldn't possibly be worse than Obama. At least with Palin I agree with her on most of the issues ideologically... I'd vote for a box of frosted flakes if it ran against Obama, that's where I'm at. Heck I'd vote for Hillary... And if things keep going downhill for Obama, she will make a primary run in 2012 and probably win. Heck, the Clintons look like George Washington compared to Barack.

I agree 100% with you. I can't take anything that guy says seriously and I just can't help but to laugh somewhat hysterically at someone who honestly hopes for Palin to win a presidential election.

So instead of typing a very long reply to the guy I'm going to take your cue and just ditch this thread and leave his empty words to hang in dead air because he sure as hell can't back up anything that he spits out. It's total non-sense and in my opinion the more anti-American than anyone else in this thread so far.

And I know he's probably going to comment me and give some "facts" that are just more paranoid bullshit that comes out of his mouth instead of the other way around.

Pretty fucking crazy if you ask me.

Both parties throw names around. I don't think either party is any more logical than the other, generally speaking.

I thought John McCain was a superb choice for President, and I think the race would've been far closer if he hadn't made the bonehead move of picking Palin as his runningmate. He should've went with someone like Mitt Romney. McCain had many amazing ideas about fixing our economic situation, and I loved his stance on pork belly spending and earmarks. I think he tried to pander to the radical conservatives in the Republican party too much when he was an amazing candidate without doing that. I find it funny when I hear people say, "Well would you have rather had McCain? He was an idiot!" and stuff like that when they don't know a single stance he had.

I don't think the intelligence of the party has suffered, I think there's simply a whole lot of people giving the Republican party a bad name because they're more vocal -- idiots like the people at Fox News, for instance.

I honestly kind of liked the old John McCain more than the one we saw in 2008. He kind of changed from who he was back when Bush was campaigning and it was kind of a bummer. I definitely would've considered voting for McCain if he was the same in 2008 as he was back then. Remember, I was a Republican until I voted for Obama. I wasn't a fan of Clinton, and didn't like Gore/Lieberman. Obama however, seemed way more enticing to me than having that crackpot Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency.

McCain should have been President in 2000 instead of Bush. I agree with Derek that the old McCain was better than the new one, but at the end of the day he's still a halfhearted Conservative who loves to pander to the Left... But I'd absolutely support him and vote for him running against Barack. I agree with Palin on a good portion of the issues, and she's a solid conservative, but I just don't think she's bright at all and isn't cut out for a President/VP role...

Clinton at least was a competent leader, he started off his term pushing a pretty Leftist agenda but after the GOP took over the House in 1994 with their Contract With America, Clinton came back to the center and governed as an effective moderate... Clinton shrank the welfare state massively, and didn't spend nearly as much as Barry O is.... As there were Reagan Democrats, there were also Clinton Conservatives... as much as a sleezeball as he is, he was a decent President... In a political sense (Lewinsky aside), the Clinton White House wasn't the circus that this one is.

And I didn't like Bush, I thought he was incompetent, but I'm unbelievably glad he defeated Gore in 2000... I cannot imagine where this country would be and how we would have responded to 9/11 if that enviro nutjob was our commander in chief.... Bush was not a great President but he has my respect for carrying this country through the darkest times we have possibly ever seen... His oval office speech from the night of 9/11 still to this day gives me the chills, that has to be one of the best Presidential speeches in our history.

I'd rather have an idiot with good intentions than a genius with sinister ones. If she runs in 2012 (please no), I'll vote for her. If Barack keeps this up, even Palin might be able to beat him in 2012

There's some good ones out there. Most are in it for themselves and their own agenda, but every now and then you come across someone with a very normal-sized ego who is a true patriot. We haven't seen one of these in the White House in years. The last President that would actually speak to the people as if he was speaking across the dinner table was Reagan. Bush tried to, but came off as an idiot because he has the speaking skills of the average American after five or so shots of whiskey

Patriotism is a fake concept. Basically, there's no difference between being born in one part of the world or in another, other than by being born in a specific country you speak the language and get used to the surroundings. And there's no honest politician in the whole world, politics defy honesty.

Actually there's a big difference. The American spirit and our ideology is vastly different from most of Europe and the rest of the world. The American system is more centered around the freedom and rights of the individual.

America is a sovereign nation. I don't give a damn what the UN thinks of us, or quite frankly what any other country thinks of us. Europe's economy is failing, the welfare states are collapsing, that system does not work. And if it wasn't for the US's willingness to go overseas and defend freedom abroad, the Western World would cease to exist.
