Yay. Not the best representation of 30STM's sound or lyrical abilities, but it will garner them serious airplay.
Yes, they are a good band, and they sounded good live, but Jared Leto kinda pissed me off at a 30STM/Seether/Audioslave concert. In one sentence, he whines about the audience, tells them it isn't a 'motherfucking Celine Dion concert', and tries to promote their album.
I'm excited for the tour. I'm going to be seeing them again. Emmanuel and Aiden are great bands, too.
I'm really pissed about "The Kill" being the next single. It's their worst song they ever made, in my opinion. This is one of the very few times someone made a 30STM thread instead of me.
There are dates on their MySpace. And they're playing with Emmanuel and Aiden. http://www.myspace.com/thirtysecondstomars
damn it. they're going everywhere but Portland, OR I know they just came here with Audioslave and Seether but still I know they probably just went to more than one of the cities that are on the list.
It's not up to them where they go for the most part. Their booking agent takes care of booking dates based on how long the band wants to tour.
They're coming here, but on a fucking Tuesday! Argh!!! I mean, would it really be worth missing work for? They came before and did an acoustic show, but I couldn't go to either of the ones they put on. it kinda sucked. they're pretty cool and i would've liked to check them out.
It's worth missing work. When they play the crowd isn't really all that rowdy so there isn't really much moshing so there's no worry about whether you're going to get killed or not. But they're really great live and they've got good stage presence and they generally put on an awesome show. They've actually improved their live performance a lot since their first album and they sounded absolutely perfect when I saw them over the summer. In short: I'd go. And I am going so hey.
sorry for correcting you, Will, but it's "Emanuel" anyway, i really want to see them live, but the chance that they'll come overseas is very small. and in my opinion "The Kill" is one of their better songs, especially the bridge is amazing.
Maybe the video's going to be something in the likes of 'keine lust' by rammstein, since jared is now looking like this:
Jared gained weight for his new movie, "Chapter 27" He's playing John Lennon's killer, Mark Chapman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapter_27
