Yeah A Beautiful Lie is a classic for me, I was so young when it came out but I still jam it every now and then. The Self-titled gave me a little satisfaction and a LITTLE more from This Is War but not much. Capricorn is still bomb.

So you're basing an entire album off of one song?

Surprised by all the people here that love A Beautiful Lie. It wasn't bad, but I just don't see the superiority to their other two albums. It was radio friendly, though, I'll give them that. To me it's 30 Seconds to Mars's Meteora -- plenty of hit singles, but just not as good as what they're capable of.

I like the up-tempo nature of A Beautiful Lie. Makes it a great driving CD.

By far their most mainstream of their albums, I agree, but the self-titled is more of a thinker and This Is War seems like a sometimes-weird combination of the two. I also found myself skipping over songs on This Is War -- something I had not done with the previous two albums.

The flaw in your comparison here is that Meteora is just a highly polished rehash of Hybrid Theory. Also, a steaming pile of shit covered in burnt hair.

A Beautiful Lie was a departure from the Self-Titled album, and definitely NOT a rehash. Also, not a steaming pile of shit covered in burnt hair.

Now Minus, there's no need to go around offending steaming piles of shit covered in burnt hair by comparing it with Meteora. I mean, really.

(for all the people who love Meteora and are offended)
    I kid! I do.

    (for everyone who hates it)
    I'm totally lying.

    SO, on topic?

Heh. The band isn't AMAZING. They're pretty okay.

Is that a crime and I missed it? Normally when you want to grab in your audience, you want your first song to have some sort of appeal. I didn't find Kings and Queens to be appealing, so I didn't listen to the rest of the album.

which still isn't a good point of view to judge an entire album.

that's two with one being a live performance. still, what's so difficult to understand? you can't judge an album when you didn't listen to it in its entirety.

Never said it was a perfectly analogous comparison -- comparisons rarely are. I specifically stated why I made the comparison, as well; if I were making the comparison because I felt it was a rehash, I would have said so.

Certainly not a crime. Just don't see how someone can make a judgment off an entire album on one song only. You have every right to, however. But I don't think you can make a blanket statement of an entire album without knowledge of it.

Oh, I totally get why you all like A Beautiful Lie. I was just surprised it's a fan favorite of the three albums on LPA.

in the end it's your problem because you miss out on a lot of music when you act like this everytime. just saying :).

Well, the issues with the grammatical structure and spelling look like someone who was too lazy to attempt to type properly and not like someone who is struggling with English as a second language. If that is honestly his best effort at constructing a sentence in English then I guess that is a different issue. Things like "kinga nd" and "u guys shud" scream of online laziness to me. I can't imagine him thinking "you" was actually spelled "u", from India or not.

Still didn't require the "English mother fucker, can you speak it?" quote. If you have problems with however someone is typing, you can go and see a mod or admin about it, instead of being a complete asshole about it.
