I was actually impressed the the improvising they did when the keyboard went out. Although Brad started laughing like the third time he had to play the Iridescent riff. And, it meant we got The Messenger when we originally weren't supposed to, so it worked out quite well.

I had to laugh when Chester said, "We're going old school on this next one...we're bringing out a wooden instrument" when Brad grabbed the acoustic guitar.

Overall, fucking awesome show though. They all preformed great, I almost got a high five from Mike (I was right up front against the barricade wall). By far the best concert I've been to.

I was at the Tampa show where it went out mid song on like SOTD and they had to haul a new one up there too. They've had a lot more technical problems this tour than they usually do...Sunrise had Mike's guitar breaking mid song on Crawling and he had to go get a new one. Burning In The Skies at soundcheck that day had the same problem where he had to go get a new guitar. Tampa had the broken keyboard problems. In Atlanta Mike's guitar didn't work on WID so someone had to bring him a new one in the middle of the first verse haha. Ouch!!

 

Somebody loves to mess with Mike's stuff. I think it's Brad!

 

Yeah! The things he have to do to get attention and to get his spot back again!!

 

lol it was so funny to watch Brad on stage. I don't know if Phoenix tweaked his back or something, but Brad like shoved this small wooden stool behind him, like gesturing for him to sit down. Then Mike came over and grabbed the stool and threw it back towards the keyboard. He was laughing too, but it's cool to see them having a good time while they're up on stage.

 

Thumbs up Mike for not pulling a Ashley Simpson.

I recall last time they were in Mountain View in '08 Mike leaned way over to inspect the back of his keyboard before a stagehand brought another one over and swapped it out.
