Crank 2 looks like this year's Shoot Em Up. Seriously.

 

Shoot Em Up was amazing. Don't kid yourself. It was so obviously over-the-top because it was making fun of itself. That's what made it good.

Crank comes off as much more serious about itself, while still going way too over-the-top.

 

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy them, just that they weren't good, if that makes sense.

 

And yet both movies are awesome on their own right.
