I heard the song "Wasteland" by 10 Years and I really liked what I heard. I haven't heard anything else by them, and I was wondering what the rest of their songs sound like. Has anyone else heard of them?
Yeah, they're a good band... they were recently signed to Universal, if I remember correctly. Their album comes out in August, though, I know that. I liked the original version of "Wasteland", personally... whoever produced this new one ruined some great parts.
I like the acoustic version that's up on their site. Good shit. 10 Years is from Tennessee. Gotta represent.
Where is it on the site? I can only find the "regular" Wasteland. [/b][/quote] 10yearsmusic.com I think EDIT: Yeah, that's it.
I found 10 Years cruising around myspace rock websites, I like it. I also found Aberrance on there too. I SERIOUSLY recommend you check out their song "Karma Kills" @ http://www.myspace.com/aberrance. It's become one of my favorite songs of all time. Also there was a song called "Vanity" by Monday Morning I really liked. But seriously check out Aberrance!
I heard Wasteland on my local radio station's little sunday night program called "The Local Buzz" where local bands music is played on the radio. That was like a year ago.
Well, I didn't hear about them on the radio, but I heard them around that time or so, too. I loved "Killing All That Holds You." I'm kind of afraid "The Autumn Effect" is going to be too awkwardly produced for me... but we'll see.

Highly awaiting the new album after hearing "Wasteland"!
Josh Abraham is a great produer, don't get me wrong -- he's actually one of my favorite! -- but he just doesn't work with some bands. I think 10 Years is one of them, personally. I think that because of the difference "Wasteland" has from the two albums.
I have the Autumn Effect. Ha, be jealous It's a really cool album, not really my style but it's good for radio rock kinda thing. The production is too clear indeed, but the guy's voice and the guitar match pretty well. We're going to interview them soon, so if there's any fan here we can take questions.
Has it leaked, or do you just have an advance version due to press credentials? Check out two more songs from the album here.
Mark introduced me to these guys and i think they are pretty cool. Have to listen to the cd before i would consider buying it.
After listening to the other two songs on MySpace, I must say I'm highly awaiting the new album. Some of the vocals remind me of Maynard in parts. How he wavers his voice in some parts.
The other two songs were pretty good, except I was waiting for something to happen in "Paralyzing Kings." It seemed like it was building up to something but it never happened, like some swooping guitars or some crazy ending (sort of like the end of Papercut).
