The long-awaited deluxe edition of Linkin Park's 2024 effort From Zero is finally out worldwide! This version of the album gives fans three new Linkin Park songs to enjoy - "Up From the Bottom", "Unshatter", and "Let You Fade".

    Tracklist:
Fans can purchase in a variety of formats or stream on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. While the digital editions simply have the three bonus tracks tacked onto the end, the physical editions also offer live recordings of five From Zero songs from various 2024 shows, along with the new studio tracks together on a bonus disc. These include "Casualty" from Bogota on November 11, and "Two Faced" from the November 15 album release show in São Paulo, Brazil. This is in addition to a 16- or 24-page full-colour booket (depending on which physical edition you buy) featuring brand-new photos from the band's From Zero tour cycle and printed lyrics for the new songs.

The band first announced this deluxe release at the end of March, heralding it with the premiere of "Up From the Bottom", which serves as one of three bonus tracks across all formats. The single, currently at the apex of Billboard's U.S. Rock & Alternative Airplay chart for the fourth straight week, also served to hype fans up for Linkin Park's North American tour leg which began in late April. The band gave "Up From the Bottom" its live debut on the opening night of the tour in Austin, TX, and it has remained a staple in the shows ever since.

Right before the tour kicked off, Linkin Park surprised fans by releasing another new song due to appear in the deluxe edition, "Unshatter", another high-energy punch to the face with a powerful performance by Emily Armstrong on the lead vocals. That left just one remaining song, "Let You Fade", that would drop with the deluxe album proper. Linkin Park has also uploaded an official visualiser, naturally a minimalistic neon affair in the vein of the "Unshatter" visual before it:

Fans have found "Let You Fade" to be strikingly different to other From Zero songs. Linkin Park takes an expansive nu-metal-meets-shoegaze route which might remind hardcore fans of the Meteora demo "Massive", or perhaps of acts like 311 and P.O.D. The instrumentation features wall-of-noise guitars, ambient synths and downcast piano chords, serving as the backdrop for some serious lyrics that have given listeners a lot to discuss. Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong both deliver together on the vocals once again, with Shinoda charging in aggressively for the verses (naturally fitting in some rapping here and there), and Armstrong contrasting with a soaring, heartfelt turn in the choruses.

    "Let You Fade" lyrics:

I’m loving it! Reminds me of Massive, as you pointed out, and those Metora demos like “Attached”

Some of the strongest lyrics of the new era from top to bottom. Though I will say on first listen it sounded like "no matter where the waves may take us to" and that had a greater impact.

Digging the experimentation in Mike's vocals, the guitar tones, and of course that bridge. Hope they play this one live this summer!

My first reaction to "Let You Fade" was meh. After listening to it a few more times something started to click and now I enjoy it more with each listen. Mike's vocals on all parts are on point, and that quiet part where it's just his soft vocals and the piano is truly beautiful. The lyrics on the chorus resonate with me on a personal level.

Mike Shinoda was channeling his +44 Mark Hoppus on those verses.

Let You Fade is so good.

Turnstile meet Deftones vibes, among other things.

Dope song, great way to conclude FZ, and a likely future favourite of mine.

I love all the new songs. Let you fade has a cool riff and I love the fact that Mike has such a prominent role in that particular song. Rapping and singing

And yes the riffing sounds a bit like Deftones/Turnstile

Wow Let You Fade totally surprised me. I was expecting some slow ballad or something, but this thing sounds so fresh and the melodies are catchy af. I love Mike's performance especially.
Definitely my favorite from the deluxe songs.

It's interesting how heavy the guitars are in this track. Almost heavier than the rest of From Zero. It's ironic that a song with the most wholesome/heartfelt content is one of the heaviest in the album. I love the old-school nu-metal feeling to the verses, especially verse 2.

All three deluxe songs are absolutely bangers and are worthy of being an extension of From Zero.

Got to say, the sequence of the 3 Deluxe songs is really good again.

UFTB gives you the catchy initial punch single, LYF is perfect for closure, and Unshatter acts as a fun rock'n'roll bridge between the two.

This Deluxe did not disappoint, glad those 3 songs could see the light of the day.

It's strangely a sound that LP has rarely explored - I think you can name a couple of stray demos here and there that are in this vein. I listen to Deftones and a number of acts that drawn inspiration from them, and I hear that shoegaze element here as I mentioned. I appreciate the vulnerable lyrics against the muscular instrumentation, and the variety of vocal approaches going on.

I think what "Let You Fade" really has in common with the other bonus tracks is a really dynamic arrangement. In all three songs, a lot happens and there are some cool twists and turns

"Unshatter" is probably my least favorite of the songs from this cycle. Feels more like LPU quality to me overall. Not a terrible song by any means but I don't see myself coming back to it. But "Let You Fade" and "Up from the Bottom" are fun bangers. Great additions.
