Amarica's variety of languages is grand! That's why I think America is just great. So many different cultures. That's awesome. But I can't understand why the Americans aren't interested in learning other languages. If I lived in America Doanush would be a MUST for me. Unfortunaly I don't know everything about America, or how they life there, but if there are lots of people who have got other cultures, I would love to learn something about it! And if I am honest, I would have chosen Latin, but my English teacher has persuaded me because she thought it would have been too hard for me. I'm glad that you still remember if some things. The most forget everything as they pass school. And we have in English now the topic America :awesome: We are talking about the Grand Canyon (I'm sure the spelling is false)
Yes that's true. You learn a lot about other cultures. And IMO the more language you learn in your youth so much the better chances in your later life. If you go on vacation, then you can use it. It's convenient. That's why I took French in the 6th class and not Latin. Latin is also important but it's a dead language, nobody is speaking that anymore. I hope I will remember a lot when I am not at school anymore. And Autobahn? IS THAT ALL YOU'VE LEARNED?! :samuel:
Of course not ALL Germans, but I think the majority can speak it, at least a little bit because we MUST learn English in school. In the past (including my time) we had English starting in the third class, nowadays it starts in the first class. So I think the 'new' generations can speak it or have an awareness of that language. I think it is everywhere so because English is the main language. And you are right, if they are not registered in the LPA they will never know what should be :lol:
