After just two and a half weeks, Linkin Park is ready to kick off the next leg of the From Zero World Tour! The second North American leg begins with a return to Brooklyn's Barclays Center, less than a year after the band's last visit to the New York City borough, shortly after announcing their return and new lineup. This upcoming stop follows a festival-heavy summer European leg that included landmark moments performing to the band's biggest headlining crowds to date at Berlin's Olympiastadion, London's Wembley Stadium, and Paris's Stade de France. It's hard to believe that the next tour leg is already upon us—the band really has not let up this year! After the relentless European leg, Linkin Park is keeping the momentum going with 25 shows across the United States and Canada in less than two months. Most of these shows will be only two days apart, meaning for most dates the band will have just one off day between touring dates. They are certainly going all-in on their touring for this newest era of the band, and they don't seem to be tiring of it at all. Although the band just recently played in Brooklyn last year, this upcoming date will be only their second-ever show in the borough. In 2015, the band was slated to perform at Barclays Center on the canceled winter leg of The Hunting Party tour, but that tour was cut short due to Chester Bennington’s broken ankle, with the cancellations including the Brooklyn date. Fans had to wait nearly a decade before the band finally made it to Barclays in 2024, and the band delivered for New York fans that night! "The Emptiness Machine," live in Brooklyn on September 16, 2024. Posted by LPAssociation! At the previous Brooklyn date, the band's set only included "The Emptiness Machine" from the then-upcoming From Zero, as "Heavy Is the Crown" would make its live debut six days later in Hamburg, Germany. Instead, the band relied on their extensive repertoire to fill out the show, playing live staples such as "Papercut," "Lying from You," and "Points of Authority" that night. Also featured was "Keys to the Kingdom," for its second-ever live performance after debuting at the band's first headlining date in seven years, five nights prior in Los Angeles. The second-ever performance of "Keys to the Kingdom," with the first days prior, nine years after its release in 2015. The band also brought out fan-favorite "A Place for My Head" for their 2024 Brooklyn date, playing it for the first time with the new Linkin Park lineup. As a pit staple, the song electrified the crowd, including members of fellow fan website LPLive, who were in attendance at the show. "A Place for My Head" bursts onto the scene at the band's second headlining date of 2024, marking its return. While appearances in Brooklyn are limited, Linkin Park has a long history with the whole of New York City. From early Roseland Ballroom gigs in 2000 and 2001, to the LP Underground Tour in 2003, to full arena shows at Madison Square Garden in 2008 and 2011, the city has hosted many major moments in the band's history. This also includes the band's private performance at the Apple Store in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, which was released as an iTunes exclusive in 2008. New York has also seen a few exclusive live debuts through special album release shows. In 2007, the band debuted "Bleed It Out" at Webster Hall at an exclusive AOL-sponsored performance ahead of the release of Minutes to Midnight. Three years later, they performed a release show for A Thousand Suns at the Best Buy Theater at Times Square, debuting "The Requiem," "The Radiance," "Wretches and Kings," "Jornada del Muerto," and "Fallout" in live format. "The Requiem" and "The Radiance" open the band's release show for A Thousand Suns, leading into "Wretches and Kings"—all three live debuts! Including Brooklyn, the band has played full-length shows in New York City proper 11 times prior to this upcoming date, from 2000 through 2010 and returning in 2024. During the LIVING THINGS and The Hunting Party tour cycles, however, the band did not perform in New York City at all, but still played surrounding areas part of the greater New York Metropolitan Area, such as Wantagh on Long Island or Holmdel, New Jersey. The band's full 2012 performance at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York. Linkin Park has also played for several American television and media programs based out of New York. Among these are the MTV Awards in 2001, where they performed "One Step Closer" with the X-Ecutioners, and their 2017 promotional performance at Grand Central Terminal for Good Morning America, where they performed a five-song set of their singles in a stripped-down format. The Good Morning America set performed at Grand Central Terminal in New York. The band now makes their second New York City return in Brooklyn hot off the heels of an especially strong run of shows in Europe. Linkin Park closed their summer leg in Europe with a massive crowd at Stade de France, standing alongside Wembley Stadium and Olympiastadion as incredible performances at some of the continent's largest venues. "Lying from You" live in Paris at the close of Linkin Park's 2025 European run. Along the way, the band continued to tweak their set, rotating several songs. "Waiting for the End" was removed once in Czechia at Rock for People, but immediately restored after many fans expressed disappointment. Additionally, "New Divide" saw frequent cuts, with Linkin Park often putting "Cut the Bridge" in its place. The band brings out "Cut the Bridge" at Wembley Stadium, courtesy of the one and only Erynn Halvorson! "Let You Fade" stayed strong throughout the beginning portion of the band's run in Europe, consistently appearing in the encore until the band's performance at Hellfest in France, where "A Place for My Head" took its place. The band began rotating the two songs heavily at that point, signaling a possible end to the former's place as a consistent encore staple. "Let You Fade" live from Düsseldorf. Full audio of the band's Hellfest performance, with "A Place for My Head" starting around 01:05:49. With their last few shows, the band also started making some unexpected changes to shake things up for European crowds. On their first night in Frankfurt, "Keys to the Kingdom" appeared for the first time on the Europe leg, and on the second night, the band switched their closers between the main set and encore. "A Place for My Head," "Heavy Is the Crown," and "Bleed It Out" closed the main set while "Papercut," "In the End," and "Faint" closed the encore. "Faint" closes night two of the band's Frankfurt dates. Courtesy of LPLive. On their final night in Paris, the band moved songs across their main set as well, performing both "Stained" and "Over Each Other," with the former taking the normal place of "Up from the Bottom" in the setlist. "Up from the Bottom" was instead performed in Act 1, with "New Divide" dropped from the setlist yet again. A great-sounding recording of "Stained" from the band's last show, at Stade de France in Paris! What changes, if any, the band might make for this upcoming leg are anyone's guess. "Unshatter" has not been played across the two tour legs since it was released, and given that the band has mentioned that it represents the very early album process, it's unclear if they plan to place much emphasis on the song. Fans attending the Brooklyn show can likely expect to see much of the same structure we have seen this year, with a strong emphasis on material from the band's latest album. The band's last time in North America in the spring brought the live debut of all the remaining songs off From Zero, the first time since Minutes to Midnight where the full album has been played live. With "Keys to the Kingdom" only appearing once on the previous tour leg, the odds do not look great for material from The Hunting Party or One More Light still. This North American run is Linkin Park's second-to-last leg, before closing out their headlining schedule in South America (which has seen some rerouting from what was announced) and performing at Mexico City's Corona Capital festival. After Brooklyn, the band heads to Boston for back-to-back dates before returning to the greater New York area to perform in Newark, and then continuing on for their first Canada performances since 2015. With such great performances and momentum coming out of Europe, Brooklyn will undoubtedly be a great opening act for this next run of shows, as Linkin Park continues on their biggest tour in over a decade. The one change I'm half expecting in this next US tour is the addition of Unshatter, at some point. They can't just leave that one single FZ song unperformed, can they ? With so many dates coming up, any of Blackout, Wretches and Kings, No More Sorrow, QWERTY, With You or GATS be an absolute win in my book, but I'm not expecting to see any of them coming up... Probably even Runaway is more likely
I actually wouldn't be entirely surprised. To me, "Unshatter" seems much more like a song they released because it represents a specific step in the process of bringing back the band, and they really like "Let You Fade" and "Up from the Bottom" much more. It sounds a little rougher around the edges overall. I wouldn't be shocked if it gets the "No Roads Left" treatment. All those first few would be near the top of my wishlist hahaha. Other songs I'd really love to come back would be "Easier to Run," "The Little Things Give You Away," "ROADS UNTRAVELED," or even the LP debut of "Sorry for Now." But I do think at this point with the band's history and the current tone of their return, the emphasis is on their staples and From Zero material for now. I think maybe 2026 touring might be the first chance for them to really shake things up when they're mostly repeating markets. Right now, they're going through all these places and re-establishing themselves in each city they visit, so the status quo being maintained with minor tweaks is entirely unsurprising.
