This is not fun for anyone. Due to the broken ankle Chester suffered he has been forced into surgery and requires six weeks of rest and recovery. The official statement from Linkin Park reads: We here at the LPA wish Chester the best possible recovery and the best well wishes we can give.
I can't say I can empathize with anyone since I wasn't going to a show, but I certainly feel for the people who spent money on hotels and whatnot.
Hope he is well soon. That is for all of this fans maybe the worst thing that can happen, especially in the places they wasnt that much. He will come back stronger and better than ever before.
Luckily (for me at least), the show in Wisconsin is later in the Summer and not part of the tour. Hope he recovers soon, he gets hurt too much
I understand chester needs recovery. Totally understand. But this cant be recess time for linkin park. Something needs to be done (progress on demos/album) or fort minor stuff or something. This cant be some sit around 3 months type of deal. I am 99% sure now they have to tour in the summer. P.S. Second Linkin Park show cancelled for me. First cancelled show was in D.C. 2011
Chester's a tough guy and one hell of a pro, sucks he can never catch a break (probably not the best word to use >__<). Hope he recovers quickly.
I guess this means they are breaking up again, and Mike will work on another Fort Minor album. Next LP album coming in 2018 at the earliest at this point.
This means that we will have a new Dead by sunrise album, called BROKEN, all-inspired in this frustration.
Not sure where you're getting this from, if I'm not mistaken aren't they doing this so Chester can heal his leg? I think you might be reading to deep into this
Mike has already said that he's working on new material (Which isn't surprising), it wouldn't surprise me to see the band write some music and get Chester to track some demo vocals whilst they have nothing to do for the next six or so weeks.
Oh no yeah, I agree with that but I don't really agree with the comments on them breaking up (or going on hiatus is what he meant), I was just confused on how the conclusion them cancelling their shows = a hiatus, I think if anything the hiatus will happen after the summer, I dunno just my 2 cents. Wondering what their new demos will sound like and Mike's new Fort Minor stuff, it should be interesting
Well I know Chester has had injury issues in the past, but this is the first one he's had since I started following the band. It's a shame that they had to cancel the whole tour. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery and the guys keep striving to work and get better in the off time.
Overreacting to the extreme there... Anyways I'm incredibly disappointed that I won't be able to see them live AGAIN. Every touring cycle I've been busy with school/sports etc and it was impossible to see them. I was finally SO stoked to see them AND Rise Against for the first time in Hamilton. At the same time though, I wouldn't want to see them just for Chester to be stuck in a wheelchair/crutches the whole time. I'd want the full act at its best potential. I hope they finally embark on a full-fledged Canadian tour like they've talked about so much. I will see this band if it's the lat thing I do
