cited as a reference to a theory that Busta Rhyme was kicked off a Linkin Park tour due to a physical confrontation with Shinoda? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projekt_Revolution#Controversy_during_2008_tour The source in question is literally a LPA thread with 5 posts speculating (and most of them not believing) a theory that Mike Shinoda and Busta Rhymes got into a backstage fight. And that rules.
LPA's gotten magazine and radio shoutouts in the past. Wikipedia (which anybody can edit) isn't much of a stretch
Oh, I didn't realise that was the point of your post To answer your (probably rhetorical) question, no, that has never happened to my knowledge.
Maybe you know this, maybe you don't, but the "confrontation" (if you can even call it that) was between Busta Rhymes and Interscope president Jimmy Iovine. Busta actually got dropped from Interscope by his own request shortly before the Projekt Revolution tour - he wanted out of his contract because he felt he wasn't getting enough label support. He went out on the tour anyway, but without a label backing him at the time, he ended up not having any funding to pay his crew for the duration of the tour. He lasted 5 shows, then technically left the tour before the show in Raleigh (his set was cancelled that night, but he still came out for We Made It). Obviously if there had been a confrontation with Mike, he wouldn't have made one more guest appearance with LP the day after/the same day the incident happened.
... yes? I'm not asking if it really happened, I just thought it was funny someone felt the need to make a note (and other people felt it warranted keeping on there) that there was serious speculation of a physical confrontation based on what was obviously shitposting. Like the fact that they took the initiative to source it and everything- and the source is literally nothing- amused me.
...I'm well aware of the fact you know it didn't happen, hence the laughing face and the "maybe you know, maybe you don't" in regards to what actually did happen?
Well see the actual Wikipedia article says "It was label related" (as it would have likely been assumed regardless, being dropped by a lebel mid-tour tends to be a big deal...), so it more or less went without saying. Hence the confusion on whether or not he thought I wasn't exactly sure that's what had happened or not.
