Given Up is the fourth single to come from Minutes to Midnight, and is known as arguably the heaviest track on the album, featuring a seventeen second long scream from vocalist Chester Bennington during the course of the songs bridge. The track received little success but still managed to place #4 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks.

The video for the song is an edit of two live performances from the MEN Arena & the London 02 Arena which took place from 27th - 29th January 2008. The video is also edited with frames from past Linkin Park videos, and features a number of edgy effects and transitions giving the video a raw appearance.
