Numb is the third single to be released from Meteora. It is the final track featured on the album and is known as one of the bands more popular tracks. It had huge success reaching #1 on the US Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks & the US Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. It also reached #14 in the UK Singles Chart.

There are two versions of the CD single released featuring an alternate track listing, and alternate colored covers, Numb 1 being white & Numb 2 being blue. Numb was later remixed with Jay Z track Encore on the collaborative "mash-up" album Collision Course.
