Well last Thursday, my drama team won a national drama competition. I was euphoric and all until the next day. Before this we've won zone and district level in order to advance to this competition but not one actually noticed, even the principal. Only when teachers started to question the absence of some student in class that they gradually realise the existence of the drama team. Not only did the principal not support us but she actually obstructed us from practicing sometimes And now that we won the attention came rolling in.

Anyway, last Friday my drama mates and I were venting about this injustice and I got seriously pissed and guess what I did. I called up the national radio station and start bombarding the DJ with, let's call it a cry of injustice about my headmistress. Anyway, straight after I got a call from one of the cast and he told me I rock and he's glad that I spoke up, NATIONALLY. But then, a few minutes later a teacher called me up about the comment I made and I think I'm in trouble.

I just have one question can I get suspended from this and if so can I do anything to stop it.

Not that I'm sorry about it because I'm not. She deserves it and anyone in the drama team, the cheerleading team and the BM debating team would agree.

I've written this in another thread but I really need some advice. So thanks for reading.

You probably will get suspended, as anything you say in paper or on record can be used against you. It's basically slander if you're talking down about someone...and since you said this live on the air that's basically curtains for you.

I apologize but there might be a rocky road ahead because of your deflammatory comments. What you did was basically slander/defammation of character against your headmistress.

But thats just in America. The laws could be way different where you live (if you're not American).

Are your holidays going on right now? What exactly did you say? Because if you honestly stated it, then maybe they might consider a change. In any case, you will be listened too. Howver, did you use any swear words/not justify what you said/were too harsh? Which grade are you in/
Sorry if it's too many questions, it's just that I'd like to asses the situation first.

If it was outside school whatever happens probably won't be school-related.

Let me tell you what exactly I said:

"Take that. When we won zone and district you did not even make a sound and now that we've won this, you suddenly take interest."

That's it. No swearing or cursing or explicit language used. And I'm in the 12th grade. I'm not on holiday.

Well, there shouldn't be any problem with saying something like that.

Yeah, if I was able to go onto my radio show and say that emo bands suck, I'm sure you can get away with something like that. Because it was outside of school, you'll probably just get yelled at a lot, in which case they're just insecure.

Why would they want to punish you 4 something like that?...it's rediculous...punishing you for that would be...punishable...right?...I mean...they can't suspend you for saying what's on your mind...and face it...it's not your fault they found out you said it... in other words...I'm agreeing with Nate... ;)

OK. So so far, everything DOES seem to be on your side. I'm pretty sure your parents will understand, and if you have their support, things become hell of a lot easier. If theypunsih you for a simple, straightforward message like that, then as Nate said, their goddamn insecure and they know it. You cant get susppended for that:it's wrong. And yes, you may get a yelling, but it will blow over soon...you ca expect some nasty treatment from the staff for a while I guess, but what you said was perfectly rational, calm reasonable.
School's on? Have you talked to her?
When do you think you're gonna?

The most amazing this happened today. Expecting being suspended or maybe at least to face some disciplinary action, I was greeted at school by the very teacher who heard the broadcast. The amazing thing was that she did not seem angry at all, in fact she was in the friendliest mood I've ever seen her in. She acted as if nothing has happened. Since when do teachers cover up students mistakes? Has the world turn upside down or what.

And for those who replied I feel deeply thankful for you're advice and console. It really helped me get through this tormenting weekend.

Well, for what you said you shouldn't get in trouble for it. If you do, your headmaster or whatever they are are just idiots.
