Everytime I try to open up any system folders on my computer (like My Computer or the C drive), an error message comes up saying:

"Attention, DIMENSION! some dangerous trojan horses detected in your system. Microsoft XP files corrupted. This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:\WINDOWS. Download protection software now!

Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommended)

    YES CANCEL" <--- buttons

Anyone got any idea what's going on? The reason I ask is because I've got anti-spyware and anti-virus software on my comp so I'm guessing that somehow a file's been planted to run this script when I open the C drive.

EDIT: It's coming up when I open new IE pages now.

    EDIT2: I'm guessing it's a trojan but why won't it leave me alone!?! :'(

EDIT3: Think I've fixed it now so nevermind

Perhaps but I'm blaming it on my copy of Ableton

I'm going to guess you use internet explorer... but that's just a guess.

    If so - www.getfirefox.com

It wasn't Ableton, that's a well known good software from a respectable publisher. Unless of course you got another form of copy... heh.

What AntiVirus do you use? I honestly recommend AVG Free, as far as website reviews of all the free AVs, AVG has always been the best and it's been saving my ass for like... 6 years now?

Yeah, it was another form of copy !

I use Norton but I think it's shit. When I scanned using it to find any problems that could have been causing what was happening it didn't find anything. I ended up downloading and using Malware Byte's Anti-Malware and that's sorted it.

    Cheers for the suggestions. :)

Oh yeah, I do use IE as well. I've got Firefox but I just use IE as I'm so used to it.
