Your Unpopular Opinions In Music

Thread title is self explanatory. Music is all opinions but a lot of opinions are shared among a crowd, where do you go against the grain in music? Decided this thread would be better in Random Chat since Other Music is more for artist threads.

I'll start:
Stone Sour is better than Slipknot.

 

I like the albums the College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, MBDTF, Yeezus, TLOP. I am inspired by the person who made the music on these albums. I don't think he's a bad person.

 

I agree with you actually. I think 808s and MBDTF are his weaker album but still decent albums. Don't forget about Watch the Throne too, that was a great project

 

I think Electronic music is harder than your basic Rock music

 

Beyoncé is ungodly overrated.

 

PREACH IT BROTHER! I can't stand Beyonce's music

 

I like her and her music, but people treat her like the second coming of Christ. It's insane.

 

Metallica is not a good band.

 

Eminem is overrated beyond belief.

 

What do you not like about them?

 

... I like some of Hollywood Undead's music...

 

The main reasons:
1. James' voice just isn't for me. He might be talented, sure, but his voice just does not sound good to me.
2. For some reason I have always found a lot of there songs generic sounding. That may not be the case technically but compared to a lot of other metal bands they just sound generic to me for some reason.
3. The hype. People hail them as one of the best metal bands of all time and I just don't see it when other, better classic metal bands exist.

 

I appreciate Sex Pistols' influence but don't think their music was great. PIL made good albums though.

I love her music but can agree with this completely

 

I can't stand hip hop or rap at all, and I think it's the most overrated genre in music.

Anyway, Lil Wayne is the most overrated rapper of all time especially since he is called the GOAT by a lot of people and in no way shape or form comes close to being even top 20.

 

For better or worse, Future has been changing the sound of hip hop. Some (or a lot of ) people hate that and some people like that.

 

Radiohead is the best band. Other bands should take cues from them on how to change their style and still sound great.
