Whats your favorite style of music? Mine would probably be Rock/Metal because of the energy and talent that goes into the instruments and vocals etc. and the blood,sweat and tears that go into getting a record deal. I respect all othe kinds of music apart from Pop which I feel is purely manafactured
My music styles are a mixed bag. I could listen to Punk & Hardcore to Pop singers like Cyndi Lauper or Mariah Carey.

Rock/Metal I can't stand when metal bands don't have any melody. If they are going to play heavy chords and scream throughout without any melody or contrast...it can be fun to listen to...but a lot of it, i don't consider music.
yeah same here. when looking for a new band i look at the vocals first. i like to see someone who has a nice full sounding scream, yet at the same time can sing the chorus or a few lines here and there. IMO its the vocals that make a metal band. i mean you can have the best musicians in the world backing him up, but if his scream sounds like shit, and he cant/doesnt sing....i dont pick up on the band. but i mean im not so picky to the point that i refuse to listen to a band because they dont sing, i just like to hear it every now and then.
