Architects - Holy Hell (Metalcore/Progressive) This album is simply breathtaking. After watching the Holy Ghost documentary about the life and death of Tom Searle (their former guitarist and main songwriter) this album became so much more important. For me definitely one of the most relevant metal releases this year (or even the last few years) I'm glad they continued with Josh from Sylosis. The man's a genius.
Dream Theater - "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" Genre: Progressive Metal Dream Theater - "A Dramatic Turn of Events" Genre: Progressive Metal
Too Close to Touch - Nerve Endings Genre: Post-Hardcore / Alternative Rock Too Close to Touch - Haven't Been Myself Genre: Post-Hardcore / Alternative Rock Amazing band! I love the vocals especially, dude sounds like a post-hardcore version of The Weeknd So far I like their 2nd album way more.
Killswitch Engage - Incarnate (Metalcore) The fathers of Metalcore! I've really warmed up to Incarnate and think it's actually pretty on par with Disarm the Descent. Can't wait to see them with Thy Art Is Murder and Parkway Drive (Headliner) next year! August Burns Red - Constellations (Metalcore) Amongst my favourite Metalcore albums of all time! They were brilliant live yesterday. Just as good as on record. JB Brubaker is an insane/technical guitar player. His finger movement, his finger tapping. Puts lots of Metal(core) guitarists to shame.
Dream Theater - "Images & Words" Genre: Progressive Metal Opeth - "Garden of the Titans: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre" Genre: Progressive Rock / Progressive Death Metal Iron Maiden - "A Matter of Life and Death" Genre: Heavy Metal
Jam Baxter - Touching Scenes (Rap, UK Hip-Hop) Chester P - The Post Apocalyptic Storyteller (Rap, UK Hip-Hop) Finally Chester P is back! One of my favourite rappers ever and a true British legend.
Being As An Ocean - Waiting for Morning to Come Genre: Alternative Rock / Melodic Hardcore Kim Petras - Turn Off the Light, Vol. 1 Genre: Electropop
Natalie Prass - Natalie Prass Genre: Indie Pop / Singer-Songwriter / Baroque Pop Natalie Prass - The Future and the Past Genre: Indie Pop / Singer-Songwriter She's so amazing Sorry for the double post, but it has been so long since the last one anyway.
Echos - Even Though You're Gone Genre: Alternative / Electronic Found this band from their cover of Shadow of the Day. Really enjoying this album so far. The production is amazing and her vocals are beautiful.
Rupert Gregson-Williams - "Aquaman" Genre: Soundtrack Michael Giacchino - "Star Trek" Genre: Soundtrack
Mark Morton - Anesthetic (Metal, Groove Metal) This absolutely rules! Every feature is really cool. Can't wait for new music from Lamb of God (Mark's band) While She Sleeps - SO WHAT? (Metalcore) While She Sleeps proving once again why they are Metalcore's finest! Crystal Lake - Helix (Metalcore) These Japanese guys are on top of the Metalcore genre. Such a great release!
MNQN - Mnqn Genre: Electronic / Synthwave Starset's vocalist solo project which sounds absolutely nothing like Starset lol but it's really good. Ariana Grande - thank u, next Genre: Pop Can't stop listening to this album, it's fantastic!
