    001. Linkin Park / A Place For My Head
Why? – This is the first Linkin Park song that I ever heard and the lyrics are amazing and very easy to relate to.

    002. 30 Seconds To Mars / Year Zero
Why? – The song is about always maintaining your place in the world and never giving up and never fading away.

    003. No Motiv / Independence Day
Why? – This is an amazing song about finding yourself and finding out just who you are and finally becoming who you've always wanted to be.

    004. Finger Eleven / First Time
Why? – This is the first Finger Eleven song that I ever heard and the lyrics and instrumentation are amazing.

    005. Adema / Everyone
Why? – This song is about how everyone in the world is the same and how everyone is quick to point the finger at everybody but themselves.

    006. Taproot / Mine
Why? – This song is going to be for my soul mate whenever I find her... yes, I'm a hopeless romantic.

    007. 30 Seconds To Mars / Revolution
Why? – This song is about how just because you might not be patriotic doesn't mean you aren't an Americana nd it's an anti-war song.

    008. P.O.D. / Alive
Why? – This is the song that got me into rock full-fledged and the lyrics are easy to relate to.

    009. Linkin Park / Numb
Why? – I'm pretty sure the reason is self-explanatory. The lyrics are easy to relate to and they're perfect for people like me where their parents are always trying to make them be something they're not.

    010. Puddle Of Mudd / Blurry
Why? – It's a song about how love can overcome any distance and any barrier that gets in its way.

I'm a hopeless romantic, too, Will. So don't worry about it. :p

These are my 10 favorite songs ever, as of now. Cause I don't know if in the future a song will come out and I will like it more than one of my top songs of now.

They are in no particular order.

Lifehouse - Everything Like Will, I'm a hopeless romantic. I dedicated this song to my girlfriend.

Killswitch Engage - The Element of One Yet again, the hopeless romantic in me is the reason.

Nine Inch Nails - Perfect Drug Same as above.

    Hoobastank - Lucky Obvious reasons.

Dry Cell - So Long Ago It relates to my past.

Linkin Park - And One Another song that relates to my past and things I've felt.

Lacuna Coil - Angel's Punishment Because it's true.

Manu Chao - Marijuana Boogie It brings a smile to my face.

Flaw - Only The Strong Because I feel it is true. Only the strong survive.

Korn - Counting On Me I can totally relate to this song. People are always using me and looking for me when it comes to their problems. But never do they help me when I need the help.

^^^^^ That song scared me the first time I heard it because of the way he yells "You're MINE." ^_^

    Anyways...back on topic.

    01. Savage Garden - I Want You
First SG song I ever heard. It's just such a sweet, catchy song, yet it's more unique then the average boy-band pop ballad.

    02. AFI - Now The World
Because it's so poetic. I love the metaphors in it...the song can be interpreted in a lot of ways, yet it still carries a but of a storyline.

    00. Savage Garden - Two Beds And A Coffee Machine
I heard this for the first time when I was about nine, and being sheltered and naive the theme of domestic abuse scared me shitless. Still affects me strongly, just in different ways.

    00. Linkin Park - Pushing Me Away
Reminds me of so many "friendships" I've had...

    00. Rancid - The Way I Feel About You
I relate to this song a lot, although not in the way (I think) the songwriter intended. The beauty of music :)

    00. Coheed & Cambria - A Favour House Atlantic
This song makes me think of what it was like moving, and saying goodbyes to people I knew I wouldn't miss (The words you scribbled on the walls/With the loss of friends you didn't have)

    00. Nine Inch Nails - The Day The Whole World Went Away
All I'm going to say is " ####ing genius."

    00. Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Burnin' Streets
A great song by a great songwriter. Lots of good imagery, and just a little hint of humor mixed in with an overall somber mood...

    00. Blondie - Rip Her To Shreds
    Another great "attitude" song...

    00. Nirvana - All Apologies
This is such a cliche one, but what can I say? It's a great song.

The order changes up every once in awhile, except for the top two.

1.The Used, On my own 'Cause when I heard that song the first time I was like : hey that's me. And it still touches me
2.Linkin Park, Easier to run 'Cause I've never been able to forgive completely November 5th 2002, because it still hurts
3.Linkin Park, Krwling The Violin man, just the violin!
4.Thrice, All that's left Awesome view on humans in my opinion and the 'Can we be saved' in back vocals
5.From autumn to ashes, No Trivia You get the impression it's a true story when you listen at it, the way the singer sings it is as if he lived what he's singing
6.Story of the Year, Until the day I Die 'Cause it reminds me of the dilemma after November 5th 2002
7.Tryo, Ta Réalité Simply the lyrics... it's quite a good summary of what's going on for normal people on earth
8.The Used, Blue and Yellow It reminds me that I used to believe in eternal friendship... guess I was wrong
9.Dashboard confessional, A plain morning Just a beautiful song even more beautiful when played by Mymy and Joe together
10.From Autumn to ashes, Autumns Monologue It's so full of memories that I cry when I listen to it... yes, I'm a crying baby.

    01. Type O Negative's Love You To Death
Why?: Well, I think you can tell why just from looking at the title of the song, but if not..well, awhile ago I was having some major girl problems with one of my ex girlfriends and well, you know how it goes. Still having that problems, but we plan on getting married, and I'm so getting married to this song.

    02. U2's Stuck In A Moment (That You Can't Get Out Of)
Why?: First U2 song I listened to, and I was going through a difficult phase in my life where I was having issues, like, you know, getting certain people out of my head.

    03. Tool's Pushit
Why?: Everyone pushes their problems onto me, and plus this song is just kickass.

    04. Nine Inch Nails' Into The Void
Why?: Eh, no real reason. My favorite Nine Inch Nails song, really.

    05. Incubus' Aqueous Transmission
Why?: A cool, 'out there' type of song that you can just chill to.

    06. Evanescence's Forgive Me
Why?: My bestfriend (former ex girlfriend, see 01.) and I's 'song'.

    07. Cradle Of Filth's A Gothic Romance (Red Roses For The Devils Whore)
    Why?: See 01. & 06.

    08. Cave In's Innuendo & Out The Other
Why?: Don't know why really. Kinda like the Incubus song. If I still smoked pot, this would be one of those songs I get high to.

    09. Maynard James Keenan/Paul McCartney's Silly Love Songs
Why?: Just a great song. I prefer MJK's version, but their both great. Talks about how theres to many love songs, and then it blasts into "i loooove yoooou" and stuff. Genius.

    10. Opeth's Harvest/A Fair Judgment/For Absent Friends
Why?: Couldn't really decide on which, so I picked all 3 of my favorite Opeth songs I've heard so far. Opeth is a brilliant band, IMO. They deserve to be on any Top 10 List.

    In no order, except alphabetically;

    Adema - Betray Me
This song directly applies to a previous relationship I had. Nice and melodic. [Lyrics]
    Cold - Wasted Years
Incredible lyrics. Very insigtful. The acoustic guitar on this track is amazing. The song is about going back and reflecting on your past, and dwelling on what you could have done to prevent the negative happenings in your past. [Lyrics]
    Falling Up - Arafax Deep
I just found out about this band, but "Arafax Deep" is a melodic, piano-driven acoustic song. The lyrics are about reflecting on the past, again. The chorus lyrics are "Show me your meaning of love, show me the secrets of life, and I'll crash in the rain, your love is all I need." It's an incredible song, in my opinion.
Finger Eleven - Sick Of It All
Scott Anderson describes this song as "It's a very honest look at how scary it is to fully assess yourself and ask "How deep are you willing to look into yourself before you turn back in fear or disappointment of what you see?". Basically, it's a slow song about looking within yourself and questioning your actions. [Lyrics]
    Finger Eleven - Suffocate
"Suffocate is about the mutual trust and support involved in every relationship in your life. The minute one person stops caring or stops communicating the rest starts to fall [apart]. As a result, problems that consistently pop up are usually a result of things that haven't been said.". Pulsating guitars, f*cking amazing lyrics, overall, an incredible song. [Lyrics]
Idle Sons feat Scott Anderson (Finger Eleven) - Long Way Home
Relatively unknown band, just like Falling Up, who everyone should hear. Scott Anderson's great vocals compliment the song very well. Great drumming and guitars, great lyrics, great song.
Linkin Park - A Place For My Head
This has one of the best verses I've ever heard. In the beginning verse, it's so poetic. I like how Mike ties together different situations (the night sky and his relationship). This song also has a great climatic bridge and the guitars are great. [Lyrics]
Linkin Park - Pushing Me Away
Very relatable for me, considering previous interactions I've had with people. A great ending song to a great album. The lyrics are great, and Chesters great vocals only complimented it. [Lyrics]
    P.O.D - Thinking 'Bout Forever
A very heartfelt song. Retrospective lyrics accompanied by a great acoustic guitar and one of Sonny Sandoval's best vocal performances.
    Three Days Grace - Scared
Energetic song. It's about, you guessed it, being scared. Very good lyrics, a great guitar riff, and great singing. It's the highlight of the best album of 2003.

    Honorable Mentions:
    Lostprophets - Start Something
    Lostprophets - Sway
    Cold - Rain Song
    Cold - Black Sunday
Three Days Grace - Take Me Under
    Falling Up - Divinity
Finger Eleven - Stay And Drown
Finger Eleven - Stay In Shadow
    Finger Eleven - Other Light

    I love "Ender" :)

    01. A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras
This song is nothing but perfection. The vocals, lyrics, instrumentals...everything is just amazing. "3 Libras" has always been number one on any of my favorite songs lists.
    02. Lo-Pro - Oblivion
This is IMO one of the best Lo-Pro songs, and one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. If possible, I would dedicate this song to a loved one because it's so gorgeous. :)
    03. The Ataris - The Saddest Song
This is a song I can deeply relate to. When Kris Roe sings about a fatherless childhood it really reminds me of my own life, but in some way, it's quite a comforting and uplifting song.
    04. Symphony X - Accolade II
This was one of the few songs that got me into Symphony X and urged me to buy their album. It's a 7-minute epic, with an awesome story behind it, amazing instrumentals and great vocals.
    05. AFI - This Time Imperfect
This song never fails to send a shiver up my spine - it has to be heard to be believed. It's pretty mellow, there isn't much heavy drumming or bass but just the lyrics, the sound of Davey's vocals and the accompanying guitar is enough to haunt you.
    06. Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight (Part I)
This 9-minute epic song from A7X is so heartfelt and tragic I just can't help loving it. It sounds great, and the piano/guitar solos just rock.
    07. Finch - What It Is To Burn
This song is THE Finch song of all Finch songs. It's heavy, melodic and gut-wrenchingly beautiful.
    08. Good Charlotte - Hold On
This was one of the few songs ever to make me cry and I don't always cry to music. Although I've never been affected by suicide, this song is still incredibly moving.
    09. Linkin Park - My December
This is not the best but by all means one of my favorite LP songs. It's about taking back the things you've said or done to hurt a loved one and I can always relate to that.
    10. Smile Empty Soul - This Is War
This is possible one of the most thought-provoking songs you'll ever hear. It's written from the perspective of a soldier, and with everything that's been going on in the world lately, it really makes you think whether soldiers are really happy with the job they're doing. Is war always justified? Do soldiers want to kill? This song makes you think. :)

    More songs that I love:
Lostprophets - Last Train Home / Last Summer
Spitalfield - I Loved The Way She Said L.A.
Finch - Perfection Through Silence / Letters To You
Smile Empty Soul - Nowhere Kids / Silhouettes
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue / Way Away / One Year, Six Months
Mest - Jaded (These Years) / Walking On Broken Glass / Rooftops
Taking Back Sunday - You're So Last Summer / Great Romances Of The 20th Century / Timberwolves At New Jersey
Brand New - The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows
From Autumn To Ashes - Autumn's Monologue
Emery - Walls / The Secret
Cold - Remedy / Whatever You Became
Breaking Benjamin - Polyamorous / Medicate
Korn - Everything I've Known / Falling Away From Me / Freak On A Leash
Good Charlotte - The Motivation Proclamation / Emotionless / The Click
Slipknot - (sic) / Wait And Bleed / People = Sh*t / Spit It Out
Evanescence - My Immortal / Tourniquet / Whisper
Linkin Park - Numb / In The End / Crawling / Papercut / Carousel
Three Days Grace - Home / Scared / Just Like You

    001. Keith Urban / You'll Think Of Me
Take your records, take your freedom
    Take your memories I don't need'em
Take your space and take your reasons
    But you'll think of me
And take your cat and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me, you'll think of me

    002. Double Drive / Imprint
One step I make an imprint
    Two steps it's a commitment
Three steps I'm not done yet
Draw my other leg up and the pace is set

    003. Lostprophets / Last Summer
And we all sit around here in our home town
Listen to the waves as they all crash down
And watch the fire as it slowly burns away
Glowing embers fly across the sky

    004. Falling Up / Falling In Love
You are my one true love
You are the voice that is so sweet
In everything I do, you bring the best out of me
You are my wings to fly
You are the wind beneath them
I miss you every night, when I close my eyes

    005. Linkin Park / In The End
    I tried so hard
    And got so far
    But in the end
    It doesn't even matter
    I had to fall
    To lose it all
    But in the end
    It doesn't even matter

    006. FM Static / My First Sterio
Everyone wants, everyone needs, everyone hurts sometimes like me
It never rejects me, always accepts me
nothing can compete with my first stereo
Everyone wants, everyone needs, nobodys perfect just like me
into the stereo is the place I go
I wonder what's playin' next on the radio?

    007. Blink 182 / Adam's Song
The world was wide, too late to try
The tour was over, we'd survived
    I couldn't wait 'til I got home
To pass the time in my room alone

    008. Simple Plan / Don't Want To Think About You
I don't wanna think about you
    Think about me
    Don't wanna figure this out
I Don't wanna think about you
    Or think about nothin
Don't wanna talk this one out
I won't let you bring me down
    Cuz I know
I don't wanna think about you

    009. Tommy Shane Steiner / What If She's An Angel
A little girl on daddy's lap
Hiding her disease with a baseball cap
    You can turn the channel
    Most people do
But what if you were sitting in her daddy's shoes

    Maybe she's an angel
    Sent here from Heaven
And she's making certain you're doing your best
To take the time to help one another
Brother are you going to pass that test
You can go on with your day to day
Trying to forget what you saw in her face
Knowing deep down it could have been her saving grace
    What if she's an angel

    010. Trace Adkins / Then They Do
In the early rush of morning
Trying to get the kids to school
    One's hanging on my shirttail
    Another's locked up
    In her room
And I'm yelling up the stairs
    Stop worrying 'bout your hair
    You look fine

Then they're fightin' in the backseat
    I'm playing referee
    Now someone's gotta go
    The moment that we leave
    And everybody's late
    I swear that I can't wait
    'Till they grow up

    Then they do
    And that's how it is
It's just quiet in the morning
    Can't believe
    How much you miss
    All they do
    And all they did
    You want all the dreams
    They dreamed of
    To come true
    Then they do

    1. Hoobastank - The Reason
My first gf(now ex) taught me a lot and after we broke up it caused me to change into a better person, i thank her for that and we'll always remain close

    2. Korn - Its Gonna Go Away
I really like this Girl and she told me she liked me and everything and we had made out and stuff before even going out and then she told me she doesnt want to go out with me and i really need and want to let her go

    3. Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit
The way i interpret this song is that its about suicide, i know people think otherwise but thats how i think of it and ive tried to kill myself before, this song is very close to me and i relate to it so well.

    4. Static-X - Kill Your Idols
I love the adrenaline in this song, it gets me energetic right from the start.

    5. Lostprophets - I Don't Know
I always feel like someone is trying to change me and what i am, this is how i feel about it.

    6. Billy Talent - Line and Sinker
I used to always try and fit in and hide who i was but i got sick of it, hence i chose this song

    7. Story of the Year - Dive Right In
I like taking chances, This song is about taking chances inside my mind lol

    8. Adema - Everyone
    The song is self-explanatory

    9. P.O.D. - Find My Way
One of my breakups, i tried as hard as i could to make it work but she still broke up with me, i still liked her a LOT and well i still do like her but anyway this is it.

    10. Linkin Park - Numb
My parents expect too much out of me -_-
