hey ppl.....i love the guy's music very much.....i am actually hoping to be a producer myself.........but i have a question about the "Rules" here....i'm not trying to cause trouble, but, regarding "Rule #9," with the copyrights, etc...Don't the listeners actually have Mike's own permission to download LP's music? Because i could have sworn that Mike hisself said "We Support Free Music...So Go Ahead, Download That S***!" Am I wrong here or what, I'm just wondering. Thanks For Your Consideration, If Any. -S. Hi Sedrom welcome at the LPA and i hope you have a great time about the copyright i'm not sure about that but you just can't share mp3's here ...
Mike did in fact say that. Unfortunately, what artists say doesn't mean a thing to the RIAA and we can still be sued for allowing the sharing of MP3s here. Anyways, welcome to the site
because i support free music Highly........i'm just curious......i think its a little too strict, but i dont own it, so theres not much i can say.......catch my drift?.......lmao
Yeah Todd said it best. Perhaps you'd like to read into what the RIAA has been doing to people they catch with illegal mp3s.
It's not the fact that LPA doesn't support it and all, but as Derek and Todd said.. well, you know the rest. ;P They're being strict for a reason. Welcome to LPA though. <3
Yeah exactly, if it was legal we wouldn't give a crap. But the fact is, LPA has become such a big site that if we were to have a filesharing corner, the RIAA would come down harder on us then a baseball sized hailstorm. Bottom line, until the RIAA gives up and makes it legal, we're screwed if we ever allow hardcore mp3 sharing on these boards.
When he said that, he was talking about the "We Major" mixtape that was released a few weeks before "The Rising Tied". But anyway, it's the RIAA, man. As everyone else has been saying, if it wasn't for the RIAA, there wouldn't be much, or any, restriction to sharing mp3's, videos, and such. Don't take it harshly. But it's the law. And if a great place like the LPA is to keep its doors open, then the law has to be obeyed. Welcome to the LPA, by the way. Enjoy your stay and have fun posting!
i hate these RIAA ppl......i'm gonna get technical now....Technically if i buy the cd, it becomes my property, with which noone can instruct me to do ANYthing. How Can Some A-Hole company tell me what i (generally speaking) can and cannot do with MY property?.....i'm getting angry now.......if someone buys the cd, then they post it online for friends, etc..., then i believe they've the right to do so....i shall end this grudge temporarily as to not get myself deleted.........but let me also ask this : If I Paid someone to Sell me music, would that be legal? Would the RIAA leave me alone then?.......
