I completely read your original post wrong and thought you meant switching between devices.

That is interesting to know how the Kinect takes control over the cable box remote o_O then again, isn't it how universal remotes work? Buy a $10 remote from Ross or something and you can set it up with your TV through basic code unlocking - I can only assume it works like something along those lines, and searching for channels is a high-end search feature on your remote .-.

Major Nelson confirmed today the ability to connect an Xbox 360 into the HDMI port of the Xbox One. I wonder what additional functionality they'll make possible. Connecting a PS4 into the Xbox One should be fun.

Microsoft should be promoting it's family options more. If I understand it correctly, all you do is add up to 10 of your friends as "family" members and you'll be able to play each others game for free (just not simultaneously).

Two informative documents I found interesting are here and here.

I'll take a guess and say that you can plug the 360 into the HDMI of the One to play 360 games on the One. Maybe so you only have one device plugged into the TV at all times? Eh.

Not sure if serious because the One has been confirmed to not be backwards compatible out-of-the-box due to the entire console running on a different architecture.

I could be way off, but maybe you can have a game playing on the 360, with the signal going in the One and out to the TV? I just don't see any other reason plugging the 360 into the One could be useful in anyway.

I'm fairly certain the HDMI in is strictly for use of a cable set-top box, as that is what the Kinect and Xbox are programmed to connect with and manipulate.

Whoa, my bad, I didn't even read sotrix's post, haha - on that note, I really don't like that Nelson is taking care of releasing all the big details about the One. We got the console at the reveal, and games at E3, and then Nelson filled in the holes.

    That sure is something...

    EDIT:
Huh, I can't seem to find where Nelson confirmed you could plug in a 360 into the One via HDMI.

Damn, well there you have it. I wish they'd open up about it more on Twitter or something instead of this "we'll have more to share in the upcoming months" bullshit.

    Staff Edit: Vulgarity.

The only reason to move out of a country that doesn't have proper internet to America to be able to use an Xbox One.

The family sharing policy for the Xbox One is a total win for them, although that still doesn't make up for all the other ridiculous shit they've put up.

IGN has announced today that the first party vendor's games will be retailing at $60. That's good to hear they did not increase the price.

    Who else's would it be?
