I was kind of expecting what Mike did to the song, but Chester's part I wasn't expecting at all. It sounds really cool in contrast with the vibe of the song. This song is going to get everyone crazy at concerts.

This song just keeps growing on me. I can't say I love it more or less than the Catalyst. They're so different its hard to compare, but I've definitely got it on repeat right now.

  12. I'll be honest. I liked Linkin Park since the release of Meteora. They used to be my favorite band until sometime in 2009 I think. Its just that the sound was too repetitive and I found their music plain. Especially in Hybrid theory and meteora. Nearly every song had the same structure, and the guitar chords in songs were the SAME!
Then The Catalyst and this song came out, and now, I listen to them constantly. They are my fav band again. Wow. I was really surprised on how much they could do.
They're the only band that gives me multiple ear-orgasms.

Song is absolutely brilliant! The energy in the chorus gives me the chills. Could have used one more repeat of Chester!
And I think the "hey hey hey" fit PERFECT in the buildup

With that kind of attitude, I'm sure they'd rather you didn't anyway.

They sent the song out to the people who pre-ordered before it was put up on Noisecreep. It's not their fault if so many people pre-ordered that the automated emailing system couldn't get to everybody before the song went up on Noisecreep. The fact of the matter is, they sent the song out first to the people they said would get it first, and they never said there would be any kind of embargo on the song that ensured it would remain exclusive for x amount of time. They followed through on their promise, end of story. You have zero right to complain.

I understand what he's going for but he could have referenced the era and not forced himself to try and sound like that era. I get the context of the track but the beat is begging for the vocals to be so much more. To add, the energy doesn't seem natural so it doesn't excite me. Oh well.

The synth in the second chorus is sick.

I will say that the e-mailing system was overloaded though. As far as I can tell, I was one of the first to receive the e-mail, as for about 2 minutes everybody thought I was bullshitting in the shoutbox.

And then Hawk didn't receive his e-mail for at least a few hours. They overloaded themselves, it seems.

I didn't get mine for 45 minutes after they were sent... even if my inbox said I got it at 1:04, I got it around 1:50. So yeah, definitely overloaded.
