I wanna heal. I wanna feel. I slipped on a banana peel. I clubbed a baby seal. I'm Zoolander's Blue Steel. I love watching Ally McBeal. Also Deal or No Deal. My favorite meat is veal. When I give head I prefer to kneel. My shitty rhymes reinvent the wheel. I play boring power chords with much zeal. My vocabulary would not make a good meal. The amount of angst I have would make my blood congeal. I blindly listen to Don Gilmore's spiel.

    SOMEWHERE I BELOOOOOONG

I remember how disappointed i was when M2M came out after i've only heard HT and Meteora and loved those albums. And i almost got cancer from In Between. But now that i've used to LP making experimental records i'd say living things has the worst songs ever on LP album compared to others.

LT. Yes, I think it's even worse than Meteora. At least Meteora feels finished. LT has the weak "universal" songwriting of Meteora but also sounds like such a half-assed, rush job it just takes it a level below.

LIVING THINGS. the mixing & mastering was bad.. if ever the band decided to re-make or re-mix LIVING THINGS then it would beat Meteora for sure. but it would never happen..

As far as worst worst, probably Meteora, though all have blatant downsides. ATS was essentially a bloated EP, Minutes to Midnight suffered from a "throw it all at the walls and let them decide what sticks" approach, Living Things starts off strong but falls apart towards the end. Like I said in another thread, when Meteora hits its highs, they were some of the best songs the band had done to date (I'd actually say Breaking The Habit has still yet to be topped in a lot of ways). When it was bad, though? Fucking terrible. Worst of the genre. Actually embarrassing to listen to. As bad as post 03 albums could get, at no point did I ever actually cringe listening to them the way some Meteora songs still do.

I prefer LP's softer and experimental side over old school LP and I actually prefer Meteora a hair over Hybrid Theory so I'm going to have to go with Hybrid Theory.

Meteora made me a LP fan until today. So, no way it is their worst album.
My vote was to A Thousand Suns. Not that I don't like it, but 4 years have passed and its atmosphere and all the interludes turned out to be a little boring to me.

I'm gonna say Meteora so the cool kids don't hate me, but I'm actually going to vote for Living Things.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora are probably my least played albums by a small margin. I find HT to be a better overall album, but M to have some of the bands better songs. So, for that reason, I chose Hybrid Theory.

Long answer: Hybrid Theory was okay. I liked how it was put together. Meteors was cool as it being new the week it came out, but it has no strong points at all. I believe it may be the worst, very bad lyrics. Minutes was pretty good. It confused me so much that I had a love/hate relationship with it for a while. In the end I love it. A Thousand Suns is lacking something. It's lacking one more strong track to make it perfect. I feel like some interludes were interludes just for shock value (zomg 4 songs in and only 1 full length track so experrymentail). Living Things started shakey, and ended pretty decent. The third quarter of the album is the highlight (tracks 7-10).

Short: Meteora beats Living Things by a midget's arm as the worst record.

Maybe they should've broke the habit of recycled music. That song sucked too by the way

Lyrically it was bad and the idea behind it was in Mike's head for years. Did it need crazy 15 letter words and syllable stacking to make it a good song? Of course not. But in my opinion it could have been way better. And I don't really care for the instrumental minus the strings which really gave it that atmospheric push. I didn't even like the music video that much.
