note to those wishing to beta test If you WLM, and you have other people who use your computer, they will not be able to use WLM, unless their passport is allowed to access the beta. A suggestion is to rename the 7.5 folder before installing WLM, to preserve both versions, if this is the case. There are also numberous bugs in this version, and the interface sucks [IMO, and many others it seems. *coughbloatedcough*], so think about this first before you ask for an invite. You are asking to test a beta software; this is not final software, obviously. Do not expect something awesome. If you do encounter a bug, please report it to the WLM team. Help > Send Feedback Oh, and as this happened to me already, make sure you have access to the inbox of the account that you use MSN on. And if you don't, you better hope the invite gets bounced back, otherwise you're out of luck, unless the inviter doesn't mind sending multiple invites. And yeah, as a previous 7.0 and 7.5 beta tester, I'm in the WLM beta too. So yes, I have invites.
Just sent an invite to the last 7 people who asked for one. [ logan, Feenix, Neil, rosanna, Dedicated, Avenger and the_chemist ] I have 2 left.
Not that much yet. The only things I like about it at this stage is that you can change the contact list colour [finally. <_<] and sharing folders. Although the current UI sucks, but that's getting changed soon, apparently. Read the WLM blog if you want to learn more about WLM.
Thanks alot The layout of the Send Message thing is well strange. I like the way you can search through names though. Can I send invites to people now or not? If not, could someone send one to a friend of mine? Her addy is [email protected] Thanks
Thanks for the invite Tomi, but I haven't been able to download the thing. I followed the link, and got to the page where it says "download now", and that text wasn't a link so I couldn't see how I was meant to download the thing. I thought it might be to do with the fact I was using firefox, so I switched to IE and now if I click the invitation link all I get is a message saying "I think you have a bad URL. Can you check it and try again?" ...So that's kind of annoying. But thanks anyway.
Yeah, the email doesn't like Firefox that much. They're still trying to fix it. It's in the source code, or just open it in IE.
