    Official Messenger Blog post

As some of you possibly know, the Windows Live Messenger team has been in talks with the Yahoo! team, and they've been working together on having their messengers to be able to talk to each other. Well, today that's now possible by joining the beta. Note that some features aren't available and that this is a beta, so don't expect anything too stable.

    To join the beta:
    for WLM users
    for Y! users
[note: both sides must be on the beta]

If anyone with a Y! account signs up for this, send me a PM for my wlm address. I need someone to test this with.

Awesome. Too bad AIM and Yahoo! don't merge because I use Yahoo! Messenger and a lot of people I know say that they have Yahoo! but they don't use it because they use AIM more often.

Of course, AIM and Yahoo! probably do work together unbeknownst to me and I just made an idiot out of myself.

Haven't heard of that, or at least nothing official of it. So for now, unless something comes out of the horse's mouth, it's a rumor...

Have you ever heard of Trillian? I used to use that a long time ago. I no longer use it, but it has all of the messengers combined into one. I think there are other similar programs out there, too.

Interesting. I never heard of that, but then again, I never watch tv. Strange how I never heard about it around the tech forums/sites...

zakrisk - Yeah, but it doesn't allow you to talk on an Yahoo! account to a AOL account.

I can never use those things since I'm not American. Sounds cool, though.

Everybody I know still has MSN Messenger. They probably won't find out about Windows Live Messenger until they get that e-mail.

Geez, you're from Belgium, the biggest MSN new site is based there [mess.be].

Just set your profile to US [or Canadian, because we're cooler. xD] and it'll more than likely work.

Yeah, but I ment to say that I can't really use all those updates for MSN, cte. because no one over here uses anything else than regular MSN.

    Mess.be is nice, though.

    (btw. nice post count. XD!)
