the main reason everyone hates Macs, and you can quote me on this, is that there is barely any software support. since Windows computers are the majority, almost everything is made for that, and very few developers bother to port it to Macs. Say you're really into the computer (how it works, what you can make it do to the fullest extent). if you wanted to do some video editing yeah sure Macs have superior software. but for everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING, Macs are inferior to Windows. people use software to learn more about systems, computers, components, transcoding, file types, etc., and even day to day browsing, but if the OS doesn't allow to research that information, you can't learn it. plus, Windows will always be the majority because if 90%~ of computers bought are Windows, this is the computer era and computers are just getting better and better. if people are being raised on Windows, they're going to stick with it. Macs are better for people who literally do not want to have anything to do with how the computer works, they just want to use it. Windows will always be better for casual use, and work (both use and work rely on available software). edit: btw, another reason I just don't like Apple products in general: the letter i. iPod, iMac, iTunes, iPhoto, iMotion, iGOFUCKYOURSELF. I mean the names of GarageBand and Boot Camp were fine with me, but they have to stop, they've driven me to the brink of insanity several times. oh, and go watch a video on youtube, its a clip from Mad TV: "the Apple iRack"
i think you mean the title to be Mac haters, not windows haters. Anywho, I like windows, but for what I'm doing, I'll predominantly be using Mac, so I bought a Mac. It al depends on your career, and your knowledge of computers. Mac' are somewhat simple in comparison to the indepth work with Windows, and god help you if you're in the middle of a senior thesis on a Windows, and your computer decides to get a gnarly ass Trojan. It sucks so hard T_T I rather like my MacBook (look, no I), and I just like how slick and easy it is. I get straight to whatever I'm using it for, whether its WOW, Garageband, or Word. Besides, Windows I notice adds a lot of stuff I don't want. (MSN Messenger for one.)
