I heard there was going to be second one a while ago and was excited to hear that Robin was going to be in it. I know some of you must've heard about it too, but I was thinking about it today so I looked up on IMDB and the film was no longer on there. Then I looked on Google and found this:

According to Filmstalker, Williams said something along the lines of "if it's not done right, it's not worth doing." But in the same interview, he also noted that the character would come back one day, just not now and not in this form.

You can read more of the article here. I was really looking forward to this film since I loved that movie as a kid. It sucks to hear that they won't be making a second installment but I guess you can't doubt Robin when he says a script isn't up to par.

lol that movie was awesome. but a second one would be like if there was an Uncle Buck 2, totally unnecessary.

I don't think I would've minded the movie since Robin would've been in it. They didn't need to make another one, but I bet it would've been good if they included Robin.

I never really liked that kind of movies so it really doesn't bother me there isn't going to be a sequel.

And if there is going to be one I doubt it'll be as "good" as the first one, those movies are just too 90's for me. :p

If he's not in it, I don't want to see it.

Nothing wrong with the 90's, but it's just the past. Mrs. Doubtfire was one of those comedies from then and just wouldn't like to see another one with exactly the same humour that was typical for the 90's...
