wierd happenings when saving images on internet

it happened about 3 or 4 weeks ago

usually when you goto save an image online and you goto for example the my pictures folder, the folders should by default show up first then the images... i realized that it even does it when im trying to save on other programs as well... i used firefox but it does it on IE too so.... i have no idea on how to fix it...
its not a big problem but its one of those annoying problems

anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem?

 

So...are the folders NOT showing up first by default? Or do you want them NOT to ?

 

From what I understand, they're not showing up first. I've never heard of that behaviour before.

 

Mine sometimes did that on my old XP but all i had to do was right click and sort by Name or type and it would always put the folders back up top Regardless if they were named between a different file.

but my Vista automatically rearranges the folders up top for me

 

yeah but i was wondering if i can reset them so the folders will automatically go back to being first w/out me having to rearrange them when i goto save?
