With all the complaints going on lately I think we take a step back and remember the reasons why we still log into these forums in the first place. Derek has numerous times thanked us for our support and activity, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks back for upholding this website. I think a lot of people, myself included, take all the things we love about the LPA for granted at times and it can be so easy to get caught up on nitpicking the little things.

I love how the LPA brings reliable, accurate news about Linkin Park consistently and professionally (except on April 1st V_V).
I love how the LPA gives off a sense of closeness and community that many forums lack.
I love how the LPA has evolved to more than just a Linkin Park forum.
I love how the members of the LPA are on the whole intelligent and supportive, and that the moderation team works hard to uphold this.
I love how Derek and co. sacrifice their time and money for Linkin Park fans and for the community on the whole.
I love how I get my news on music and politics comes primarily from threads on this site (it's sad, isn't it? :p).
I love how I have a reason to come back here every day.

I love how I'm going to be called an ass-kisser for this :p

I agree with this thread. I think the LPA needs a big pat on the back for being such a great forum. Sure, like everything, it has faults but they are not major faults. My 5 years here so far have been great and I hope to be here for another 5. This site is great for a lot more than just Linkin Park, which is amazing. I too come here for news about a lot more than just LP News. I come here for movie news, music news, and just to overall spend some time with some people that share some of the same interests as me and just talk about shit. It makes the day go by easier.

Also, thanks to the staff for all the time they put into moderating and maintaining this site and thanks to all the other members for accepting me as a friend, and not just ignoring me.

This has been the longest stay I've ever had at a forum. I usually join a forum and after a few months, maybe a year, I'll just lose interest. I joined the LPA in '03 for Meteora and I'm still going strong.

If it wasn't for this place, damn... what would I be?

I'll be honest. I started listening to Nine Inch Nails because of Casey's With Teeth thread. A lot of music has been discovered here.

Even in forums that were smaller than this one, LPA always felt like a close-knit home to me. This place just seems... cozy. So many private jokes, laughable moments, memories.

I'd type more, but I'm kinda not good with them. So with that said,

Cheers to LPA, and may we forever ride the buffalo.

    Good thread.
Basically everything you guys said, including this site being the reason I got into NIN, not to mention other bands.

And the support I, and a lot of others I'm sure, have found in the GSYWTLO thread has been amazing, all you guys on here are awesome.

So too all you mods, congratulations on having the most enjoyable forum I have ever come across.

Ass kisser....what? Someone had to say it.

I'll be honest, there are days (like today) where I've been pissed off with this place and the simple fact that people out there need to shut the hell up every blue moon. But when all of the people who I hang out with on here get together and...well, fuck my brain up god knows how much, it does make me smile. This is indeed my second home. MX is right, this just feels like more of a close tight community than most forums out there...it actually reminds myself of the forum that I used to call home (Disturbed's message board...good times). It was mostly the same I think...but this has done way better. And you've stuck it out with the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Surely enough, I know some people out there don't enjoy my company as much as they used to with the whole debacle involving JD and whatnot and this whole prank that me and Derek pulled. But then again, I like to think of it as this..."Hey, I just pulled a joke with the webmaster of a message board." That's a rare as hell feat.

But seriously though, you guys are awesome even though I can be anything from a jackass to a prick...and to all the mods/admins/etc., thanks for keeping such a great site alive and well.

Cheers to the LPA! I agree with everything that's been said. You guys really do an amazing job, as I've said several times before in previous threads. Sometimes we forget (I know I do) that you all put your own money into keeping this site up, and maintain it, and keep it alive and kicking for all of us that depend on it. Ha, the LPA is my homepage, actually.

So, basically, I'd like to thank all of the Moderators and the Staff for everything they do as well, to give us this little haven to let loose and have some fun with intelligent and fun other people. ^_^

As much as I might have acted like a little shit in Cale's thread, I really do appreciate you guys for all that you do.

This place really has become a second home for me. :)

I think some people might look at some of the mosts I've made recently and wonder what I'm doing here when it seems as though I don't like the way things are run when that couldn't be farther from the truth. I've been here for almost six years now and I'm pretty sure I don't plan on leaving any time soon. As for my recent posts, I'm only doing what I can to try to make sure things are made a little better for some newer users who aren't as used to the rules as those of us who've been year for a much longer period of time. I'd hate to think people were leaving just because they didn't agree with the rules.

At any rate, I love this place, and aside from some problems I had in the past, it's really my second home. I never thought I'd have been here this long, and I definitely never thought I'd have been a moderator and administrator for three and a half of the six years I've been here. I've made some awesome friends here, friends I'd like to think I could keep for life if I stay in contact with them (like Keaton, first and foremost; though to be fair, I was friends with him before I even knew about the LPA). I couldn't imagine where I'd be without this place, considering all the depression I used to have. This place and its users really helped me out with all that.

So despite some posts I may make here and there, I wouldn't change this place drastically for the world. It's amazing, provides me with fun and entertainment, and allows me to blow off steam when I need to most.

Thank you very much for this thread. It's encouraging.

If people would stop sweating the small stuff I think the entire forums would be more enjoyable for both the staff and the regular members. People just need to look at the big picture sometimes.

I love this place and although I don't exactly see eye to eye with a few people here, generally this place is filled with alot of really cool people.

I visit LPA every day and I hope that people know that I really love being a member of this awesome community. I don't see this place as a second home but I do see it as the warmest forum community around and it's benefited not only myself but various outher members. I will jump to it's defence most of the time if there's any complaints about how it's run because I understand that this place costs money to keep up and that moderating the entire forum isn't exactly easy (especially with all the latest drama).

Thankyou to all those who make this an awesome place. :)

It might not seem like it of late but I do appreciate the jobs the staff members do here and the fact that they pay for the forum. If I ever actually had money these days I would probably have donated by now.
There are a lot of good people here and as Will said there are friends I've made here that I'd like to keep for life. Likewise, there are one or two members that I dislike immensely and there are probably a hell of a lot more that would say the same about me, but I guess that's testament to the community here. That's pretty much the best thing about the LPA; the community.

This last month I haven't been online much, because of some personal issues, but also because the LPA didn't feel like a home anymore. I was wrong though, as much as I can't stand some people, this will always be a great community and it will always feel homy. I'm really glad that the staff takes their time to listen to all the members and try to improve the board as much as possible. Sure, we've all been whiners lately, but like Mark said, we gotta look at the big picture. That's what I'm doing since a few days or so and I have to say, everything looks way brighter like that. So, thanks for everything LPA.

Welcome back to the forums

I pretty much agree with everything that's been said
I love the LPA and it does give me a reason to come back either it be for music news, a dose of crazy random laughs or an introduction to a new band to listen to, poems to read, there's always something here that I find interesting and can help me occupy my time.

I don't know what to say that everyone else hasn't already said.
Seriously though, this is the only place that I've found with such an accepting group of people. This is the first thing I check in the morning, and the last thing I check at night (hah, now you know I have no life). The mods are doing a great job, and I'm glad to be a part of such a wonderful, community.

I must agree. I don't post a lot (anymore), but I still browse the forums and website because there's so much information here and plain-out interesting stuff to read. I've read things that I've yet to find ANY where else.

...Okay, I'm pathetic since I can't really say why I like this place so much, but I do. ^_^ I guess it just gives off a nice 'atmusephear'.

I think LPA is great, the first place i check for news of most things and i do it without thinking either. I cant compare LPA to other forums since i dont visit anywhere else, which is really an achievment not only that i signed up with LPA but been here about a year or more. There is deff a community feel to this place that seems rare to find in most over places these days. im thankful that the time and money goes into this site, the LPA lets everyone vioce there opionion god or bad. I hope its here for a long time to come and the mods should have some congrates for there work too

    my thoughts anyway

I've been a member of another board (a wrestling one) longer than I have this one, but both are equally my homes on the internet. I guess I love LPA because of the untapped potential of the Linkin Park fans. If I can make one huge fan of Linkin Park listen to Nine Inch Nails or another band and turn them onto other, different music, then I feel like i've accomplished something. I don't consider Linkin Park to be a horrible band anymore, but I do feel like some of the fans are missing out on alot of good music out there and that they should hear it so they can be more educated on music. I was like them at one time, too.

I don't know if that makes sense. I know I'm not an official moderator or anything, but I feel like the Other Music forum is my home and my little slice of heaven on this message board. Not to sound too vain, but the only long lasting threads in that subforum is the Album Leak thread, the Best Albums of (insert year here), and my two Nine Inch Nails threads. I guess that says something. Either that or people just like NIN more than they used to.

    Anti-Bible Thread ftw.
