Who Wants To Open For Linkin Park?

    MTV and Time Warner Cable are giving unsigned Los Angeles-area bands the chance to compete for the opening slot at the July 28th stop of the Projekt Revolution 2007' tour in San Bernardino, California.

    Here's how it works:
    - LA-area bands can register at MTV.com from June 15th-28th.
    - Fans can vote online for their favorite contestant from June 29th - July 11th.
    - The top 15 bands make it to the next round, where an expert panel of judges will choose their top 5.
    - The top 5 bands will play a short set at the Projekt Revolution Kick-Off party at the Roxy in LA on July 18th. (How fitting that they play at the Roxy, the same venue that LP set as their main goal to play in the infancy of their careers)
    - Another panel of experts, including members of Linkin Park, will choose their favorite on the spot.
    - The winner will perform as openers at the Hyundai Pavilion in San Bernardino on July 28th.

    That's awesome actualy.

    Some day I am actualy hoping to share a stage with a bands such as Linkin Park. One can only hope dreams can become reality.

    That's really cool, man. I'd love to form a band and perform with LP, but I have in mind a power metal/symphonic metal project; it wouldn't fit LP.

    If I was part of a band I would be so jealous of whichever band gets to perform with Linkin Park... :lol:

    I wonder how many songs would perform and if it was their own or something.

    Thats awesome. I can't imagine a better way for a band to break into the mainstream.

    Doesn't do those of us in, say... Toronto any good now does it.

    I think it's absolutely awesome all the stuff LP does like this. There's just oooone small problem about it that always pisses me off. When ever they do stuff like this, they make it in the LA area ONLY.

    C'mon LP you have fans everywhere, not just at home.

    Great opportunity for LA musicians...I wish my band was equipped for live performance but we are still in our infancy stages lol...

    plus were on the opposite side of the country >_<
