Ok I'll concede the Evanescence point, though what I was saying Derek, is that whether either band like it or not, Bring Me To Life was influenced by LP.

Why has no one said Julien-K? Those guys basically worship Chester at least.

just a little correction -- the label wanted amy to ask mike. and she knew that he would say no, so she didn't bother. and, yeah, wind-up turned instead to 12 stones' vocalist, paul mcCoy. don't know who actually wrote the part he did, whether it was him, amy or ben or whoever ...

I remember one of the twins from Good Charlotte saying they liked them... I think. Either way it's probably not something to be proud of.

I'm pretty sure Amy wrote the lyrics. If I remember correctly, Amy performs those lyrics in one of the earlier demos. I'm not sure right off-hand though. I'd have to give the demos a listen.

And there's like, six of them.

I was thinking about "The Blank Theory" especially with one of their singles (if not the only single) Middle of Nowhere. The song definitely resembles nu metal traits in it especially presented in the intro, not to mention the band's name does resemble some obvious characteristics with Hybrid Theory. Though they aren't considered famous to begin with and now they are defunct by 2005. The two members from the band formed Madina Lake who were part of the Projekt Revolution in 2007.

I wouldn't consider Within Temptation a gothic band...
