Had an interesting conversation with others in the shoutbox, and I am really curious to see what the majority of LP fans believe to be the most creative Linkin Park album to date?

Personally, I went with ATS because of how different it was. The vast layering of sounds, the interludes and speeches, my "what the fuq" reaction the first time I heard it, etc.

I feel that LT went back to a more familiar place, because a hand-full of songs on LT could probably fit in on other previous LP albums (ex. I'll Be Gone, In My Remains, Powerless, LITE).

    Anyways, what do y'all think?

NOTE: I AM NOT ASKING WHICH ALBUM IS BETTER!

Going PURELY by creativity, A Thousand Suns wins pretty easily. When They Come For Me, The Catalyst, Blackout, and Waiting For The End are some of the most original sounding songs I've ever heard.

    Meteora. :shinado:

No but seriously, ATS. Really outdoes every other album by them, including LT, which I still find very creative.

A Thousand Suns by a long shot. Living Things wasn't meant to be artsy-fartsy like A Thousand Suns, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

ATS, no doubt. If LT was an EP of just the second half, then there'd be some competition.

The giant leap they took with ATS makes it the most creative album, hands down. And not just in a Linkin Park album sense. For any band who made the kind of music LP did, to make ATS is incredible.

See, I thought it was obvious that ATS was more creative. But then thinking about it, LT ventures into Brad Delson singing, Mike Shinoda rapping multiple styles, folk music with Castle of Glass, and an incredibly-weird song in Until It Breaks (my favorite).

I still give ATS the edge up in creativity.

Since M2M is sitting there all alone, the only thing I'll say is that in M2M that's when Mike Shinoda sang on an album for the first time, the band had a lot more soft songs, and even the lyrics were a lot deeper than Meteora.

Even though I love LT far more than ATS, ATS takes the cake for creativity.
