I remember a thread awhile back for Taproot's single off their new CD, Our Long Road Home, Due out September 16th but they released another new track named "Wherever I Stand". www.myspace.com/taproot I have to say I am really liking both tracks, but "Wherever I Stand" is slightly better. EDIT: I guess this is going to be their official single, according to their myspace.
As far as I'm concerned, Taproot haven't been anything close to NuMetal since Gift, and I wouldn't even call THAT NuMetal.
Gift was probably their album furthest away from nu metal, IMO. Listening to these songs now. Edit: Liking the new song.
Did anyone else hate Gift, or was that just me? A lot of people I talk to about Taproot always say things like "The first cd was the best" and "I wish they would go back to the Gift sound.". It's my least favorite album from them. I hope the newer CD sounds more like Blue Sky Research stuff, which it sounds like it will. Anyone else feel that?
Gift was alright, but it's actually my least favorite Taproot album as well. It's still a good album, though.
I think all their albums are different, but yet very, very, good. If I had to list them, it would go Gift, Welcome, then Blue-Sky Research. But hell, there were some songs on Blue-Sky that were fucking ace, and I know some people that didn't care for that album so much.
