Hey everyone, I haven't posted anything here in a while simply because I've been way too busy recently to write anything! I've been working on a few things here and there though and this piece is one of them. I hope you all like it. :)

    Italics=Spoken Word

When The Truth Is A Lie

This illusion in all its confusion
Filled with conspiracy to the bitter core
This wave of hate is systematic
It’s for the greater good is what we’re taught
We must lift the haze and complete this maze
Or what we know as life could vanquish into abyss
Because there’s something more behind closed doors
And I live to find what it is

What do you do when the truth is a lie?
When the world that you know is just a disguise?
When all you’ve been taught is just a charade?
When the hatred of man is being put on Parade?

    Conflict in the quietest streets
No one’s safe from this madman’s cause
A dossier claims to prove it’s worth
But each page is filled with vital flaws
We have a voice and we will not be denied
The time is now to clench our fists
The streets are calling and we must heed
Let us unite and find our way through the gloom and mist

What do you do when the truth is a lie?
When the world that you know is just a disguise?
When all you’ve been taught is just a charade?
When the hatred of man is being put on Parade?

To have a tomorrow we must live for today
Don’t be deceived by their lies or anything they say
For how many more must we loose to this madness?
What could possibly justify a mourning mother’s sadness?
This is the battle to end all battles
We will no longer be lead to the slaughter like cattle
Because the time is now and before our time is up
We will rise up against all that has betrayed us

What do you do when the truth is a lie?
When the world that you know is just a disguise?
When all you’ve been taught is just a charade?
When the hatred of man is being put on Parade?

The time is now and before our time is up
We will rise up against all that has betrayed us
The time is now and before our time is up
We will rise up against all that has betrayed us!

I like this one a lot. It's like one of those songs you'd hear (lyric-wise) at the beginning of some bad-ass scene in a movie.

it is very very very strong..and i give credit to your vocabulary. you've really improved it from the last time i read your work. i absolutely admire the strength this poem evokes...and it's source of inspiration yet...though it's meaning to only tell ou how you've been decieved. absolutely fantastic..i love all the lines...couldn't single out any.

Arhaz can't single any line out. I can

    they are

"For how many more must we loose to this madness?
What could possibly justify a mourning mother’s sadness?"

    Powerful, completely powerful.

How did I miss this? :\

Anyway, I'm loving this piece. It's got a strong message which is put across really well.

I like the vocabulary used in it and the idea of the spoken bridge.

    Great stuff.
